Wonderful visit today for their festive swim. My blind aunt was with me and we were blown away by how amazing the staff were. Seperate accessible entrance to avoid steps, looked after her guide dog in the staff are so we can change and swim easily and had signs up to warn other swimmers where a visually impaired swimmer was swimming. All that and clean warm water and fab Christmas songs. Thank you so much

Visited Hathersage outdoor swimming pool today as part of a Sauna event. Both the sauna and swim sessions were a great experience for the beginning of March. It's nice to experience the outdoor pool at this time of year and the experience of the additional sauna and plunge pool at this event was the cherry on top, This was an experience I would recommend to anyone who enjoys outdoor swimming or sauna experiences. With the views if the surrounding Peak District scenery adds to the experience. I would definitely do this again.

A heated outdoor pool in lovely surroundings. A real gem in Hathersage. Check the website whether you need to book. In summer you definitely will. Changing rooms and an excellent cafe just outside. Highly recommend.

Unique swimming experience with the most spectacular views. Worth a visit whatever the weather. A July Saturday and a balmy 15c air temperature. The pool was indeed the place to be. Pre booking tickets is easy to do and advisable as some public swimming sessions are, rightly, very popular. Even when busy there is a lane or two for those wanting to exercise. Great place to visit and a decent cafe if you need refueling afterwards

Nice to be able to see the clouds and sky whilst swimming but a little too cold for my liking. Great experience and probably amazing in summer. When there are people jumping in, the wind blows the spray in your face. Nice hot showers for after and large changing rooms.

A great pool and good to see it so busy at 8am on a Sunday in February. Outdoor pools are a rare thing these days and this is a gem considering it is tucked out of the way in rural Derbyshire. Temperature was 23C which is great for serious laps but not for lazing around.

Shocking. 60 mile round trip. Took the kids and my wife they lasted 30 seconds. Water was freezing cold. It was minus 2 when we went in December and the water was ostensibly supposed to be 20 degrees. There were people in their with Bob hats and wet suits who also got straight back out. Never again. I do cold water therapy and I was swimming but only could manage 20 minutes myself.

We really enjoyed it here. I think you have to get over the initial temperature of the water . Its like you expect to be jumping in something the temperature of a bath but that's not realistic for a pool this size. The pool, changing rooms, toilets and showers were all very clean and there's plenty of seating for spectators. The staff on duty were also lovely Would happily return sometime in the future.

A superb outdoor heated swimming pool set in the heart of the Peaks. We were lucky enough to visit as England slowly eased its way out of lockdown. Itβs got sessions for members and public sessions available to book on its website, although be quick as they sell fast! The pool has a few free parking spaces out front and a paid car park and train station nearby for access. We found the pool to be clean, the outdoor changing cubicles are fine and thereβs 2 open showers on site if you fancy a rinse. We visited on a day it had snowed in the morning and yes, it was a bit chilly getting your kit off (!)... but once in the pool you hardly notice. Swimmers were polite and respectful and the staff very friendly. It was a lovely day out!
