   Moved here from Everlast the week it reopened following the refurb. After a few years at Everlast we were fed up with the entitlement of the Hyrox crowd, the amount of filming going on and the amount of people training in large groups working their thumbs more than anything else tying up equipment for long periods. So far loving it, it reminds me of a mid 80`s gym, the staff are visible, friendly and willing to help without being too muck, following the refurb all the kits fantastic, there are young lads but they they are their to train and not pose and just get on with it. The music and atomosphere is lovely and calm (I`m sure being a strongman/powerlifter I should want angry metal but much prefer this) In more terms of the equipment, the trap bar is bang on the loading pins are nice and long in comparison to the one at Balby that are that short its unusable. There are only 2 racks but you dont often have to wait for one, they are a bit close together its all but impossible to load/unload at the same time as the other rack or when they are lifting. The Olympic bars are strong enough but not the best with no whip/bend deadliftings not nice on these and will probably end up bent over time but no one seems to do heavy shrugs and drop them on the rack.

   the new gym is terrible, let 15 yr olds use e new cables otherwise me and my mate cant hit back because pulsefitness machines are crap

   Staff were absolutely lovely but wow what a disappointment. I've just moved to the area and was delighted that this centre was 5 mins down the road, however I will not be returning. Both the gym itself and the changing rooms were disgustingly dirty and equipment incredibly outdated. Staffing in the gym itself was virtually non-existent and unfortunately this meant there were groups of teenagers messing around on equipment. I'm sure the above is down to a major lack of investment from the council, such a shame as with a bit of TLC and more staff this could be a great facility.

   TLDR; In dire need of a makeover. We visited on a Sunday afternoon during a quiet swim session. The changing rooms were run down and a lite grubby, with trash on the floor. The pool was clean but a little on the cold side. The showers are dated and don't work great. It's okay for the money but I think we'll go to Thorne instead.

   Your Space is your space. Name tells everything. Where you there you create your own space and carry in with your excercise. People are very helpfull, if you need help they will advise and help you.

   I attended the Dearne Valley Leisure Centre with my family for our Covid-19 Vaccinations and they were done fantastically. The whole setup was extremely professional and each of the staff and tram were on hand to help throughout the whole process. We all went through our 2 vaccinations without any problems and we are safe against the Covid-19 Virus. If you are booking your vaccinations and looking for a centre, get into this one if you can. They really are a great team of people just wanting to help the public become safe!
