There’s been no real progress in my son’s swimming. He was due to move up a level last term, but because the instructor changes every couple of weeks, no one actually tracks his progress, they don’t keep any proper records at all. For the past three months he’d been swimming confidently freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and then suddenly a new instructor came in and put him back on a float. We were really taken aback, and my son was upset as it made him feel like he was starting again from level 0. It’s knocked his confidence completely. I spoke to reception, and their attitude was basically that they didn’t care. They said there was nothing they could do and that the regular instructor would check when she was back. When I asked if they kept any progress records, they said they only provide something at the end of term. It’s honestly so frustrating. I’ve got no hope of seeing any real improvement at this rate. Best of luck, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who genuinely wants their child to progress. Cheers.

Just completed a block of adult swimming lessons - the instructor (Jordan) was absolutely first class - tailoring each lesson to my individual needs. He was so patient and encouraging I was able to achieve something I thought I never could…. !!

Both me and my mum who are in the age range 50s and 70s were unable to use Westfield Baths because of a chlorine issue so decided to try King Edwards. We arrived about 12pm on a Sunday and had parked at Broomhill as you are exempt from the parking restrictions on Sunday. It was a ten minute walk there as there is no parking. The lady on reception was very pleasant and said she could only accept a card payment which was £6.50 each. Westfield is only £4.85 each. The changing area and shower cubicles were clean. As we entered the pool we thought the water temperature was a little bit too warm compared to Westfield. The men who were swimming were very disrespectful to us and we found ourselves having to move out of their way. They had no consideration or manners towards other swimmers. At one point I saw something that resembled a blood soaked cotton wool floating. I can't say it was the best experience of swimming I've had recently. I'm unsure if I'll be returning.

Such a great local pool, fun sessions for kids in the holidays. Love the warm water sessions for younger kids too!

Lovely swimming pool, went with my baby and he loved it, the pool was filled with beautiful floats and balls, which he loved! The changing rooms were really warm which made getting changed less stressful.

Booked our daughter’s birthday party. You get one hour but that includes getting changed, a swimming test for each child individually and changing time at the end. The pressure for one child of the ‘test’ was enough to leave her in tears and some of the children who showed they could swim were told to wear armbands “in case they get tired”. The test took 15 minutes as each child had to swim up to 4 widths individually which eats into your hour and we were told to get out of the pool with 15 mins left of the session - this meant we only had 30 mins swimming of an hour booking at a cost of £100. When we asked if we might stay in for another 5 minutes the lifeguard started crying! Also we were allowed to bring a cake in but not allowed to cut it in there. Very rude lifeguard and absolutely no flexibility. Would never recommend for a party booking. Very disappointing.

The changing areas (i went into) was very clean. I usually have issues with swimming pools and dirt on the floor from peoples outside shoes but with this swimming pool that wasn't an issue. Very reasonable prices the student price is under a fiver which is cheaper then other swimming pools I've been to. The staff are friendly with the little interaction's I have had with them. The loyalty card they give (every seventh time is free) is great way to get people (ie me) to come back regularly although their membership would only be worth while if you plan on going more then once a week. All in all great swimming I frequent often

I visited for parent-toddler session with my 2 year old. Nice and clean pool, it was a weekday but there were about 15-18 children with their parents, no long waits - changing rooms are good. Poolside temperature is well controlled, water temperature is excellent. Lots of seating arrangements poolside. Loads of floats and toys in the pool, max depth 1.3 meters with gradual slopes from both sides. We could see three lifeguards on duty and they seemed quite friendly. Anti-slip mats and floorings in place everywhere. Two minor suggestions - Prams or buggies could be taken to poolside but no ramp at the entrance, will help if we can have that. Parent- toddler sessions could also be scheduled on weekends.

A very nice pool. My first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The changing rooms were nice and clean and the pool was lovely is a little on the warm side. I’m still getting used to swimming in a longer length pool and as the deepest section is only 1.4m It’s a good pool to practice in. I also like that you don’t have to book like most other pools in Sheffield.
