Visited Ridgeway Arms recently and had a really lovely experience from start to finish. For my starter, I had the Honey Chicken Wings — they were perfectly cooked, sticky, and full of flavour. A great start to the meal! For my main, I went for the Sizzling Fajitas. I’m not an onion lover, so I really appreciated that the staff took the time to check whether the dish came with or without onions. It’s those little touches that make such a difference! The fajitas arrived hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent — both of the young women serving were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome (wish I’d caught their names!). All in all, a great visit with tasty food and fantastic service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely fantastic pub, can’t recommend enough! Visited recently and had such a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming the moment we walked in, it’s got that perfect balance of cosy and lively without being too noisy. The staff were brilliant, friendly, attentive, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making sure everyone was looked after. The food was way above standard pub grub — everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavour. You can really tell the chefs take pride in what they do. Drinks were spot on too — a great selection of beers, cocktails, and spirits at reasonable prices. Every detail felt well thought out, from the music and lighting to how clean and tidy everything was. You can tell there’s real effort put into the place. All in all, it’s easily one of the best pubs I’ve been to in a while. Whether you’re after a chilled meal, a few drinks with friends, or a proper night out, this place has it covered. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We called in to the pub,got a drink,on Sunday, October 12. It was busy, but plenty of staff. We were appalled by what we witnessed. Leftover food was simply left, uncleared,on a table,as we're empty glasses. The food was still there when we left, well over an hour later. Glasses were cleared from two tables, when there were no glass free tables remaining, but others were left. Tables weren't wiped down, and were dirty. The barmaids were simply chatting, between themselves, and decorating each other's hair with bottle tops.During our visit,on two separate occasions, customers returned drinks, untouched,to the bar. One had something floating in it. When we returned I checked the food hygiene rating,on FOOD HYGIENE SITE,it was rated as one star, with " major improvement required. " This was on August 25,2025. Had we checked this previously,we certainly would not have visited the establishment.

Where do I start, we arrived at the Ridgeway Arms as the family were taking me out for birthday tea, upon arrival a young girl called Liarna greeted us and led us to our table, she was very enthusiastic and we felt very welcome, Liarna even brought the birthday cake out and sang happy birthday to me a great touch to a wonderful evening. what a lovely young lady.. The food was amazing I opted for the spaghetti bolognaise and cheesy garlic bread which I would highly recommend, my partner went for the bacon cheese burger which also looked amazing.. The owner John came over to say hello having had the Ridgeway for only 6 weeks, he was so welcoming and we had a laugh. Love the atmosphere and food and being local will definitely make this a regular thing.. 10 out of 10 all around.. highly recommend :)

I visited The Ridgeway Arms today with my family and we had the most amazing experience! The Sunday roast was absolutely perfect – generous portions, beautifully cooked, and packed with flavour. The cocktails were just as impressive, refreshing and expertly made. The service was outstanding from start to finish – attentive, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The staff really made us feel welcome and added to the relaxed atmosphere. Another huge bonus was the fantastic outdoor space. It’s so family-friendly, with plenty of room for the kids to play and even toys to keep them entertained. We’ll definitely be back soon – highly recommend to anyone looking for fantastic food, drinks, and service!

Nipped in here, on the way back from an appointment, for a late lunch. Lovely smart but relaxed decor and friendly welcome. We only wanted a light lunch, soup or a sandwich, but no luck. Settled for a "meat sharing platter" and, despite being the only customers, it took ages to get our food. The food was hot, well presented and tasty but an odd mixture of pate on toast, ribs, wings etc. Some gentle background music might have helped us feel less conspicuous but pleasant enough in the end.

Must say not a very good experience , 11 of us went for lunch , although the food was ok it wasn’t what I expected , the stuffed pepper was just half a green pepper in what I could only call a sloppy bolognese sauce with cheese , then I had the seafood paella and it was just muscles and two ocean sticks ! Come on for £15 at least put real prawns in. Can say will not be returning
