Lovely place but got turned away for wearing cargo pants when out on a Saturday afternoon 3pm with the family. Bouncer said they were combats. Been in here plenty of times before, disappointing to say the least and it’s no surprise it looks dead when the sun isn’t out as their beer garden is of no use. What’s more baffling is if you look at their instagram they have tons of people wearing exactly the same thing.
Good staff, awful food, ordered £11.50 fire fries, basically a small order of chips with a few slices of cheap supermarket chorizo and a chilli chopped in half, would’ve accepted as a loss but contained enough salt to expect a poisoning episode on midsomer murders. Passed back to staff after three mouthfuls and only offered a duplicate barrage of a stroke experience before being ignored for 15 minutes. Did the British thing and left in a huff

First time visit. Only went I for a birthday drink with family. Stayed fir 3. Lovely bar tender...she was very helpful. We eill return again. We did try going in on a match day.....it was very popular (Not for us) but many seemed to be enjoying it.
Pretty poor to be fair. Girl that served us was nice but had no apparent training. We waited a while for order to be taken but waitress never came. Had to order food and drinks at the bar and pay individually for each course! Drinks were expensive and the menu was extremely limited and not particularly nice. Would not recommend, definitely would not go back, I'll stick to the book further down far nicer.
Refused bar service for the first time since opening because my husband had a cap on and smart tracksuit bottoms! Worn same sort of clothing every time but clearly something has changed. There is no formal dress code confirmed anywhere! How disappointing and suggest that they make it clear before they start to alienate people. It’s not exactly a smart place to drink so establishing a dress code at this point seems little excessive…..
Should be 0 ⭐️ a new Bar opened in west derby village and we like to support new small businesses so after a walk on New Year’s Day we went into the peacock for a drink. Unfortunately The management and staff need customer service training. After buying two rounds of drinks my husband was told his attire was a tracksuit, not permitted and would have to leave. He was not wearing a tracksuit they were mountain walking pants and did not fit the definition of tracksuit! The way they handled it was disgraceful. We will not be going back and unfortunately we are not the only People that have experienced non existent customer service/ management skill. It also markets itself as a sports bar with televisions everywhere showing sport, a Strange premise to then not permit people in tracksuits (sportswear) but would permit shorts? There were also women in the bar with tracksuit pants on. The ‘manager’ said they had decided not to accept People In tracksuits (again not wearing a Tracksuit) as she did not want to attract the type of People that drink in ‘the book’. Which shows you the lack of any form of people Skills what’s so ever. Very disappointing and insulting. A shame
Great atmosphere, food was lovely, but when we asked for Cocktails, we where told they wasn’t doing them, to which they served 2 people with cocktails 5 mins later, I went the bar and asked for 2 cocktails but was then told they stopped serving them at 10pm. Disappointing, apart from that we would still visit again.
