Took my curtains away, fitted fleece linings and returned the same day. Excellent service. Very happy and would recommend.
From start to finish pennywise were so professional and organised. They collected my dress and kept me informed on the process every step of the way and then delivered back to me. It was wrapped up beautifully. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a wedding dress dry cleaned or any other items!

Absolutely amazing service! My beloved wedding dress had been in my loft for the last 13 years.. finally decided to have it professionally cleaned and boxed. Pennywise Cleaners were fantastic from start to finish, they collected my dress and kept me informed throughout and delivered it back a week later. The results are superb.. my dress looks brand new again.. I cried when I opened the box! Such care and attention they put in to everything! The presentation box tops it off! Well worth the money! Dropped a water resistant coat off for cleaning after some foundation had accidentally got onto it. Both of the ladies I dealt with were very friendly and after some magic, the coat was clean again! I’ll be visiting again for any further dry cleaning or specialist cleaning I require. 5 stars definitely earned!
Less than ideal. Wouldn’t use especially if you have to have items sent away to be cleaned. Likely to be without them for a while and when you enquire where they are they won’t know. No point leaving your number as they won’t call you. Zero customer service
My experience at Pennywise cleaners was awful. Took in expensive clothing to be dry cleaned, the result of the wash was very very disappointing. The clothing itself shrunk, stains are still there and clothing was stuck on the actual hanger itself!!! shocking place! BEWARE this place DO NOT KNOW how to wash/dry clean!! .Would not recommend and def. will not be coming back to support this business. This place is worth 0 stars.
I would not recommend Pennywise cleaners. They managed to dye my wedding dress blue and then refused to accept responsibility. They tried to blame it on the manufacturer putting blue breast pads within the dress that had leaked the dye. Had to go via an independent company who examined the dress and confirmed that it was the fault of the dry cleaners. Even then it has taken 12 months and the small claims court to get compensation for the dress and to get back the dry-cleaning cost that I had paid upfront. Not had an apology either. Avoid.
I never ever ever leave negative reviews anywhere I really believe in supporting local businesses but I’m devastated & don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I got married abroad last week & went to PennyWise to clean my daughters dress ready for our UK reception this weekend. I had my daughters bridesmaid dress especially made (Took 18 months to make). Travelled miles and miles for it. Paid an absolute fortune for it but loved it more than my own bridal dress. I wanted to treasure it forever. I had a call from Pennywise today to inform me “some lace had come off the bottom of the dress”. I went straight to pick it up and they told me because there was glue and not stitching on some parts of the dress is was apparently the manufacturer’s fault. Upon returning home I discovered the WHOLE dress was ruined. Everything has come off it. The shoulders, the bodice, the back and the skirt. They’d put some odd pieces back in the bottom of the bag but after trying to reassemble what we can salvage from the dress there’s lots of lace and detail missing. I called back to see if they had the rest of the material and she said she’d gathered all they could. I’ve spoken to both the manufacturer who says it’s not uncommon for bridal type dresses to have detail glued & not sewn on and it shouldn’t come off if washed at the right temperature. They make these dresses and dry clean them all the time and this has never happened before. I’ve taken the remains of the dress to 3 independent seamstresses today desperate to get it fixed somehow for our wedding reception in only 3 days time. All of them have said that it’s been washed on a temperature too high. I’m having to take the day off work tomorrow to try and get it sorted and I really can’t afford the cost of getting a seamstress to try and put it all back together again. Specialising in bridal gowns they should have considered the construction of the dress before treating it. Their website even states they understand the processes of individual dresses with beads & lace & glue etc. Gutted is not even the word. I will never ever get the dress back to what it was. I can’t believe I’ve spent hundreds of pounds on it and it’s in tatters.
