All about the money! I took my cat to vets4pets a few months ago as he appeared to have been hit by a car. They had me sign a form to allow them to charge up to £1500. And, of course, the bill was exactly £1500. They had the cat around 8 hours and gave him intravenous pain relief and 2 xrays. The largest part of the bill was 'a nurse sat with him all day'. They waited until 6pm to tell me they couldn't treat the cat any further as he had a broken pelvis and required treatment, most likely surgery, elsewhere. No earlier opportunity to get him to another vets etc. So, inconveniently, took the poor cat home over night. He had a bandaged foot with cannula hanging out and cone on his head. His tightly bandaged foot was so swollen by the next day he was lucky not to require surgery! I took the cat to the small animal hospital (Wirral) and they were amazing. For a slightly lower cost than vet4pets they did MRI's and kept the cat overnight and treated him with pain relief. He didn't require surgery as he was lucky the broken pelvis would heal naturally and wasn't life threatening. Then came the insurance claim issues. They refused to submit a claim until the bill was paid in full. Im with petplan so almost 99.9% guaranteed payout. Then came relentless emails phone calls texts from them hounding me for money. I borrowed the money and paid within 24 hours. Once they had their money it all went quiet and I had to chase them to complete the forms for me to claim the money back. I've not yet had chance to change vets, so today I reluctantly took the cat back with a poorly eye, feeling anxious about what the cost would be. The cat was seen (£56 consultation fee) and given eye drops (chloramphenicol) and a de-worm/flea treatment. £170! Im not sure I trust the 4 and 5 star reviews on here......

Please do not take your pet to this practice, they are all about getting as much money as possible from you and I believe it cost our little girl her life, she was feeling poorly so we went into them spending nearly £1000 over a week for tests,on day 2 we spent £240 on blood tests they said showed nothing, over the days we had test after test for them to say, and this is word for word,we needed a second opinion because there equipment isn't the best, to top this off they said it on a Saturday lunchtime which I am sure they did because it would be highly unlikely we could do this at the weekend,we did manage to get our girl to another vet miles away, they repeated the tests at a further cost of £900 this vet said they had done the same tests but had a diagnosis,my little one had kidney failure and has now passed away,my question is why did they not know this when they did blood tests, but we are back with, they just wanted the money, they would not treat her untill I paid up front, clearly all about the money and not our pets, but to do this is absolutely disgusting, please avoid at all costs.all in all they could have told us what was wrong with her on day 2 after the blood tests but they chose to let her suffer through further tests for more money having no thought for her at all, the second vet knew straight away, so it beggers the question, why did they let my little one go through so many tests and suffer so much, MONEY

I’ve found this clinic to be particularly unhelpful when it came to submitting an insurance claim for my pug’s dental surgery. They emailed me saying the claim had been rejected by my insurer, but when I followed up with the insurance company, I was told that no claim had ever been submitted. It feels like now that they’ve been paid, they no longer care—despite the fact that their treatment costs were higher than other clinics. I chose this clinic because they already had my dog’s full medical history, but the service I received was extremely disappointing. I’ll be switching to a new vet going forward. Very poor experience.

We have been with Riverside since they were at Riverside. The team here couldn't be more caring. Our dog has had a couple of operations, both of which have gone without trouble, and they have shown the utmost care each and every time we visit, so much so, our dog loves to visit each and every time he goes.

I would highly recommend this veterinary team to the pet owners. It's my first time to adopt the astray cat and it was quite urgent. The team provided many useful tips for me to raise my cat. With their help, my cat has been fully vaccinated and completed the neutering within a month. That really helped. My cat has now fully adapted to our new home.

I've come in to register with my puppy without an appointment. Lady on reception was very nice and explained that if we want to wait for a bit we can be seen straight away. Vet was really nice and helpful, explained everything and answered all our questions. My puppy got her vaccination, warm and flea treatment and I've signed up for health plan. Overall very good experience

Compared to other vets I have been to this place is clean, modern and friendly. The vet was lovely and very thorough. There was a mix up with my appointment (my fault) and they managed to get me registered and seen within 5 minutes.
