I lost my beautiful girl, Rosie, on 30th August 2025, and I feel utterly devastated and let down by this practice. Rosie was not βjust a dogβ β she was my baby, my childrenβs best friend, and part of our family. The failures here stole precious time from us, and I will never get that back. Rosie was diagnosed with suspected lung cancer on the 22nd of August, I couldnβt afford and didnβt want to put her through chemo. Despite clear instructions from her oncologist veterinarian, for a drainage procedure Rosie desperately needed to remove fluid from around her lungs was not carried out. That procedure could have kept her comfortable and given us the chance to say goodbye properly. Instead, she deteriorated quickly, and we lost her just three days later. Those three days were everything to us β time we could have held her, loved her, and prepared my children for her passing. That chance was taken away from us. Funny how if I payed for chemo, drainage would have had to be done regardless. But my wishes and what I wanted for us and Rosie was completely dismissed in an awful way. What makes this even worse is the way I was spoken to. I was made to feel like I was lying about Rosieβs condition. I was told she was βflatβ during her first and one drainage procedure on the 20th, when in truth she was still happy, playful, and living life as normal right up until her final days. I wish I could post a video here from the morning of that appointment, she was playing and happy. Not βflatβ. The way I was dismissed, spoken down to, and not believed has left me deeply hurt. And then β nothing. No follow-up, no check-in, no compassion. Not once did the practice call to ask about Rosieβs wellbeing after such a critical appointment. The silence has been deafening, and it has added to the pain of an already unbearable loss. This practice failed my Rosie when she needed them most. They failed me and my children, too. I would strongly advise anyone reading this to reconsider trusting them with your petβs care. Your animals deserve compassion, dignity, and proper treatment β things Rosie was denied. Please donβt risk going through what we have.

We took our dog to be put to sleep and felt that the service was unprofessional, couldn't seem to be able to inject into a vein, took about 30 mins. When it was over they couldn't wait to get the card machine, left very saddened by the whole experience.

If I could I would have given 0 star for this vets . All they are interested in is the money. My poor cat of 9 months old was very sick , they treated him with antibiotics, that didn't work, when I went back in I seen a different vet and he gave antisickness injection, the poor cat still couldn't eat and was sick all the time , after 2 weeks of this he died. The vets answer was it must have been something very serious for him to go this quickly. I feel they did not do enough and different vets didn't know what was going on with my poor cat . Broke my heart.

I am absolutely astounded at some of these bad reviews. I have been using these vets for 35 years and in that time they have treated over 30 cats I have taken in- my own cats and strays I have had treated for various injuries. I have never been treated rudely, the cats have always been treated carefully including the semi-ferals. As for Vets for Pets they wanted to remove teeth from an 18 year old cat who had shown no signs of a tooth problem and who wanted to charge me Β£400 for the work I had not asked for

I've been taking my pets to Mr Davies for 25 years. During this time, we have had five cats and two ex-battery hens. Having known him for a long time, I feel confident he will take excellent care of all my animals. Mr Davies is someone I recommend if you are looking for a vet to care for your pet and support you in keeping it healthy and happy.

Been using this practice for over 20 years. Have always found them helpful and honest. Mr Davies had been excellent with our 3 cats over the years. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Horrendous experience as a new client. Visited on numerous occasions with a very sick and very loved, family cat. All vets, including Davies, were rude and abrupt on every visit. On one occasion a female vet shook my cats carrier with my very stressed cat inside. I had to ask the vet not to do this, and left in tears. The whole experience caused a great deal of distress to both me and my pet - honestly a bit of a traumatic experience. I would not use this practice again.
