   Amended Review: They have amended their Gram Stain Reports for birds since i emailed. Their reports now state that it is not proof there is no Avian Gastric Yeast present in the bird. And they now report AGY separately to other yeasts. They also do not call AGYeast by the misleading name of Megabacteria. The reports are now updated and so safe for birds, so this shows they are caring. This was never a complaint about individuals. It was about their previous gram stain reports, which no longer exist. Their new gram stain reports are excellent now, so this shows they are very caring, and amended them. This was my review for their previous gram stain reports, before they updated them: A warning to bird owners: Avian Gastric Yeast is a yeast, yet this "quality" lab, report it as a bacteria in their bird gram stain reports. They reported to me 3 times in 3 gram stain reports, that my budgie had 0% yeast. Yet they did not tell me this 0% yeast does not mean my budgie has no Avian Gastric Yeast infection. Which i thought he did, which is why i bought their gram stain tests. They led me to accept that he had no Avian Gastric Yeast infection when he did. And the 3rd gram stain reported again: 0% yeast, and under it was typed: 5% Megabacteria seen. Megabac is the deadliest yeast, which is why i bought their gram stain to check for it! I gave my poor budgie cucumber which he loves, which gave moisture and alkaline conditions perfect for the AGYeast to thrive in, and it did. So their decieving gram stain report directly led to my poor budgie now having 5% of the deadliest yeast present. I wish i had never bought their gram stain in the 1st place, because i would never have given him any cucumber, let alone lots of it. As i only gave it to him after their deceiving report made me think he had no Avian Gastric Yeast. And they know that AGY is widespread in even young budgies who get it from their parents and other budgies. And they still did not state that 0% yeast did not mean he had no AGYeast in his intestinal tract. My poor, poor budgie. Be warned if you order one of their bird stains. It is cruel and lazy and not quality how they report on yeasts. It is totally misleading and dangerous to your loved budgies and other birds who get AGYeast. My budgie now has 5% Avian Gastric Yeast growth directly caused by their deceiving stain report, which deceived me. The way they reported their dangerous stain report is not care for my poor budgie.

   Recently went to the annual exotics conference run by PALs and it was fantastic. Great speakers with a huge range if knowledge and expertise. The day itself was well structured and overall I feel I have gained a basic grasp of exotics. Only downside was no handouts this is not essential but it's always nice to save scribbling everything down.
