Got a large fish supper 15/10/25 and it was the worst fish ever, more batter than fish. It used to be a great chippie, I've been going for over 30 years and won't be back. I don't know if it's new owner's or what has happened.
Place should be borded up got a chicken supper over cooked dry was only fit for the bin people running it now have ruined a once great chippy it now has to be one of the worst in Midlothian
Pizza was very over cooked to the point where is was really hard. Chips were great though so really hit or miss I think.
First time using this place and it was a pleasant experience. Fish and chips were done perfectly and a good portion size. Also had jumbo haggis, a little bit tough on the batter but still very tasty.
Well what can I say apart from Outstanding..... Visiting my family in Roslin so we decided to have a chippy for dinner. My daughter recommended Mario's at loanhead. We ordered on their app and they gave us a pick up time for twenty minutes later. We always pick up as I am not a fan of delivery. Food was ready for our time given Got home and food was piping hot and truly delicious. We will be back......
completely went down hill over the last year, just ordered a mixed kebab, the doner meat could of been passed for some cat meat. I will not be back!
Only good for pizzas everything else is horrendous worst kebab av ever had and jalapeño bites are bogging used to be great chippy when geovanni had now its rank rotten
Not very nice fish n chips. Not enough salt, vinegar and brown sauce on the fish plus the brown sauce made the fish and chips soggy and the taste wasn't good. Mario's barely understands how a traditional fish n chips is supposed to be done in Scotland as fish n chips is a favourite here but Mario's doesn't know how to make it good. I won't be coming back since Dino's makes the best fish n chips in Loanhead and it is worth the money but anything from Mario's is a waste of money
Just had a lamb shish kebab, sorry to say it was awful. Had hardly any lamb and was full of oily overcooked green peppers, onion and mushrooms. Best part of it was the side salad. Would not order this again.
