It was a light dinner. The vegan pizza was good, the olives were good, and the bruschetta was okay. The tiramisu was a big NO! The ice cream was quite average. I believe we should have stuck with the pizza options.

We were given a complimentary raspberry lemonade at the table, which was absolutely lovely. We ordered pasta and the service was very fast. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was really nice. It was exactly what we needed that evening, as we didn’t want to stay out for too long.

We had a wonderful meal here. 5he food was absolutely delicious and Garry was very attendive We tried seabrass without diary - perfect 10/10, the regular seabrass 08/10, and the pizza 07/10. The vegan dessert was also a highlight, definitely a 10/10. We enjoyed sitting outside, which made the experience even nicer.

I had an amazing dining experience at Ask Italian in Edinburgh. The service was outstanding—every staff member was incredibly attentive and friendly, making my visit truly the best one yet. The restaurant’s location is excellent, nestled in the heart of the city, and it offers plenty of tables so there’s never a feeling of overcrowding. The food was exceptionally delicious, bursting with authentic Italian flavors that delighted my taste buds. From the moment I walked in until the end of the meal, every detail was perfect, making it a memorable experience that I highly recommend to anyone seeking superb service and a delightful culinary experience.

Had a good lunch here. Starters were tasty but a bit dry. Mains were very nice, we both enjoyed a pasta dish for the main course, sauce sticks well to the "frilly tagliatelle ". The new dip & dunk pasta was popular with our toddler as she got to add the sauce & cheese herself. Cocktails were good, restaurant is clean and bright, and the staff were very friendly. Perhaps a little expensive, but we used a voucher from Tesco points that made it a bit of a bargain!

Restaurant was bright and clean. Food was great, worth the wait (there was a massive family table in, but food still came out in less than half an hour) you can order food and pay from the table which is very handy. The carbonara was amazing I’d definitely have it again. Also tried the in house still raspberry lemonade and it was excellent.

Probably the best garlic bread I‘ve ever had. The pizza was good. However, after the garlic bread I was just a tiny bit disappointed. I also had the elderflower drink, which was delicious. The staff was super friendly and courteous so I would definitely recommend going here!

Great Italian restaurant! Very attentive staff, and of course, very high quality, tasty food. I was truly craving some good seafood and Ask Italian left me very satisfied with their seafood pasta. It is a little expensive, but you are paying for quality. The restaurant is big and spacious. I went there with a friend for dinner and was allowed to stay until 10pm, no one kicked us out, which felt really nice. Great experience!

Fantastic Italian place. Food was absolutely excellent. Freshly cooked and tastes like you're in Italy. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The interior could do with a redesign especially with the quality of Food being served. Food is above 5 star quality!
