   First time at Prego—and what a delight. Unpretentious, relaxed service and extremely well-cooked and presented Italian food. Don't usually find myself in this part of Bristol but definitely would return! We started with Bruschetta with slow-cooked rabbit ragu with pancetta and peas, and Calamari fritti with aioli and lemon. The pasta mains were Conchiglioni alla Norma with roasted aubergine and red pepper, San Marzano tomato, crushed almonds, and parmesan and Wye Valley asparagus, Italian pea, mascarpone and pesto with lumaconi with parmesan. Treated ourselves with a carafe of the Grillo from Sicily. Top marks!

   We had a delicious meal last night at our local friendly Italian restaurant. We had calamari to start and another starter that I can’t spell! (Truffle, mushroom and deep fried… arancini?) followed by crab linguine (me) and partner had the pasta dish again with mushrooms which he loved. The manager was lovely and so was Lucy who squeezed us in before our film. The only slight comments that I also mentioned to the manger (sorry forgotten your name) was that my crab pasta dish wasn’t very hot and the very crunchy breadcrumbs I personally didn’t add to the dish and I think would have been better without. However, absolutely will return as it was a splendid evening and food top notch .

   Just brilliant. Consistently excellent in all areas - we are a family of four (2 boys of 12 years who eat loads!) and celebrated my birthday with a fabulous 3 course lunch. Excellent value for such incredible food! Add on a bottle of delicious wine, glasses of dessert wine, drinks and coffee, and suddenly the bill is pretty hefty - but completely worth it considering the excellent food, outstanding service, attention to detail and careful attention. Prego is a favourite of ours and will always be our Bristol restaurant to recommend! ❤️

   This place is just incredible! Really amazing staff with attentive and fantastic service despite almost a full house. The food is so delicious and every single dish that we had was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My personal favourite was the squid ink spaghetti with mussels and prawn - fresh seafood, incredible flavour combination and perfectly portioned. I’m so glad that I found this little gem and would definitely return again and again! The only downside is parking. On-the-street parking only allows max 1 hour so you may have to park a little further away.

   Went here for my birthday and made good use of the mid week set menu deal, 3 courses for £23, which was definitely great value as the food was high quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also really nice, even for an early evening sitting! Would come again for sure.

   We took the 3 course set menu. Little choice for this type of service but acceptable pastas (the pasta had to cook an extra minute), excellent starters (called "primi"). For desserts (salted caramel and gorgonzola) nothing special. The restaurant does not reflect the Italian spirit at all but small and welcoming.

   Absolutely fantastic food. Lovely restaurant, great service. Tables were spaced quite close together is the only slight negative. Will definitely return as the pizza was outstanding.

   We booked for a table of 8. The staff at Prego all evening were so friendly and lovely, they really made the evening special. I cannot praise the food or staff enough! Being vegan I was so happy to see a few lovely dishes on the menu but they were kind enough to make me a vegan pizza which was delicious! Thank you Prego. I wish I could eat here every week!

   We had a lovely meal here, although service was a little bit slow at times. The atmosphere made up for this however. I would say the food was not quite as special as prices would make you expect, although it was still very good. We ordered pizza and pasta dishes that were freshly made. Desserts were also homemade, unfortunately presentation seemed to take precedence over how flavours came together. I am mainly referring to the popcorn ice cream where it looked pretty but the popcorn was dry and not enjoyable to eat.
