The peculiar wok fried rice is our favourite! It is super flavourful, it has Chinese sausage, preserved veg in it, fried in delicious spices, tastes nothing like your originate fried rice. We also really enjoyed the BBQ flavoured chewy wheat noodles, we choose to have it with spicy beef steak! The noodles are covered in spices, peanuts, very aromatic, the spices they use is what makes it so delicious! Update: tried this again it was a bit saltier this time. The geda chunky noodles are covered in a garlicy sauce, I like the texture of it, very chewy. We also got the chilli squid, we didn’t enjoy that as much of the noodles because the squid didn’t that fresh. Visited here again, we didn’t enjoy the new dishes we tired this time as much as last time. The fried sticky rice cake was too sticky instead of chewy and the portion is small. Tried the stir fried squid small plate, flavour is okay but the squid tastes frozen. The 1. Braise beef and pickled greens in traditional broth taste decent. The 2. Chicken thigh cooked in chilli with broth tastes way too salty for us, the chicken didn’t taste super fresh as well. Wouldn’t recommend this dish. We were slightly disappointed on our last visit since the first time was amazing, so we think we’re gonna stick to the 3 dishes we like next time. The prices are reasonable and have a cosy vibe to it! Make sure you book before going, they’re pretty busy usually.

I can't get over how good the food was here - and such good value! Best boiled dumplings I've had in the UK by FAR and the most incredible set of flavours all round, but especially with the tofu chunks dish and the cucumber. Really recommend the chunky noodles too - I've never had anything like it! Lovely staff too, just £25 each including BYOB corkage and as much food as we wanted Only reason I took a star off for atmosphere is it doesn't have the excitement of seeing some of the cooking process, which can be fun, but at least when we went I enjoyed the quiet too. 10/10 want to go back already.

Very very good! We did a take away and it was delicious. We said no spicy but it still came mild/hot, still very enjoyable, it’s not a spicy that burns. I recommend giving it a try.

Disappointed. So highly recommended online, and by friends. But it is just not as good as actual Chinese food. This felt like a Scottish Asian fusion mix, where the flavours were lacking depth. The fried rice was oily with no spice (despite there being whole chillies in it), the ribs were not very tender and the broth was bland compared to other authentic Chinese places. I was expecting authentic, hearty and flavourful food. Instead I got under seasoned, over complicated and frankly too expensive food. For these 3 dishes it came to 41.50, which is frankly too dear for any Chinese food not from Edinburgh or London. Overrated and won’t be coming back. Although on a nice note, staff were friendly and able to accommodate us taking away late at night. The restaurant itself is small and quite nicely decorated.

I enjoyed lunch here today. Food is well priced and service was alright. It’s a small Chinese food shop and the food is so fresh. It’s traditionally made so I liked that it didn’t taste like the typical ‘westernized’ Chinese takeaway. Food tasted fresh. The price is really fair tbh and the staff was helpful with the menu. The menu is very limited I must say. I wanted the shrimp dumpling but it wasn’t available, went for the shiitake ones and it was great. We spent £50 pounds and this covered tea, dumplings and mains and an extra serving of dumpling. Also the portion size is amazing and we ended up not finishing our portions.

I am from Guiyang where the real wan's food is from. We were traveling in Scotland and heard about this restaurant. It's absolutely authentic and tastes exactly like my hometown. 100% recommended if you want to taste some real authentic Chinese food.

First time visiting today. Came over from Dennistoun to try it out after seeing some recommendations on the r/Glasgow subReddit. This truly is a hidden gem. Proper authentic Chinese food that you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Glasgow, hell, maybe even the rest of the UK! What we ordered was absolutely delicious, Staff were lovely, welcoming and really helpful too. Both of us are super excited this place exists and can’t wait to visit again!

My wife who is from south-east China suggested stopping off here during a recent trip to Scotland after being recommended as to this restaurant by a Chinese friend. We were told that this was the most authentic Chinese food they had had in the UK, so we were eager to try it. Needless to say, we weren’t disappointed and this was the the best Chinese meal we have had in the UK by far. I’ve also spent some time in Guizhou province and this place was just like being back there - amazing. It’s not like the usual Chinese take-away food you will get, there is real care and though put into the meals. Our only regret is that we live too far away (Kent) to be able to be regulars. Next time in Scotland this will be the first place we visit!
