My family (2 adults + 11-year-old child) visited the Wagamama at Livingston Designer Outlet yesterday after shopping. We were tired and hungry, and we often eat at Wagamama branches in Glasgow, so we expected a nice meal. There were two couples already waiting inside. We joined the queue behind them. The entrance area isn’t designed for waiting customers, so the waitress had to walk around us to reach menus. She asked us to wait outside between the two doors. It was cold, but she told us we could close the outer door, so we agreed and stepped outside. After one couple was seated, we came back inside and stood behind the remaining waiting couple — now completely out of the staff’s way. Another couple walked in behind us and stood at the door. The same waitress came over again and asked only us to go back outside, even though we weren’t blocking anything this time and the couple behind us wasn’t asked to move. I objected, explaining that it was cold and we weren’t in the way, but she insisted with a very unfriendly attitude. Another staff member then backed her up. I felt completely singled out. The restaurant was half empty, and there were two large empty tables right in front of us. Instead of seating us, the focus seemed to be getting us out of the restaurant. We decided to leave, and I spoke to the manager before going. All he could offer was, “Can I sit you down now?” but by then the whole situation had already ruined our experience. We still never received an explanation why we were repeatedly asked to leave the entrance while others weren’t. I’ve always loved Wagamama, but this experience was disappointing, confusing, and genuinely upsetting for my family — especially because it felt like we were being treated differently from other customers without any clear reason.

First time at Wagamama's and had a bonus visit since my brother works there. Really good that they take extra care if you have any allergy’s, the food was really tasty, well presented and not too hot. The service is good and didn’t had to wait long. Really recommend if you have any food allergy’s.

Honestly I had a wonderful memory 10 years ago. That caused me to go with a preemptive expectation. This time I found it not so good not so bad. Of course the menu's do change. No Wasabi option available. The service has a scope to improve. The food served was tad dry. I asked for additional sauce with a charge. The people were required to be reminded after asking for additional curry and dips.

Ok, positives first. The food was genuinely tasty. The Saku Saku Duck Soba was crispy, had a nice level of heat and depth of flavour, the Chicken Firecracker lived up to its name with a proper kick and had nice crunchy veg to complement the tender chicken. The Koko Prawn Crackers were also a nice spin on a classic, addictive, and with a lovely wee dipping sauce. No complaints on flavour — they’ve got that part nailed. The experience? Bit of a mixed bag. Our mains arrived over ten minutes apart, which apparently is “just how they do things.” Cool if you’re into solo dining at a group table. Less cool if you enjoy eating together. The noise level was full festival mode — not ideal if you’re trying to have a conversation without shouting like you’re at a football match. And for the price, you’d hope for a bit more calm and cohesion. Would I go back? Maybe. But I’d bring earplugs and low expectations for synchronized eating.

Food was ok, my drink (ice matcha latte) was meh. The main issue was the service. We asked the manager (as she was nearby) for the bill, and we specified we have a discount. We waited for a good 30-40 minutes and then we told them again to bring it. When they did, there was no discount applied and when we questioned it, the server told us no one told her there should be one.

Visiting Livingston outlet, I have a chance to taste Wagamama eventually. We tried Cha han (fried egg with chicken and shrimp), Kate burosu Ramen (curry noddle) and Vegatsu (tofu curry with rice) and vegan chicken buns. As I live in Asian country, wholeheartedly the food here is edible but there are other restaurants that can offer more authentic flavors. The good choice is the vegan chicken buns which is very crispy and flavorful. The service, staffs are pretty helpful and the service system there is undeniably pleasant.

Went for lunch today when doing Christmas shopping at walking into the cosy warm wagas was exactly what we needed coming in from cold and rain. Not only that but the staff made us feel so at home and honestly some of the best service from Jennifer!! Thank you so much! The food was amazing and that white choc ginger cheesecake.. UNREAL! Jennifer made me the lychee and yuzu but with lemonade instead of tonic and that was so kind and great to change it up for me.. I highly recommend it was so good! The cherry blossom lemonade as it comes was so tasty as well (was surprised as I don't like sparkling but it really is good!!) The fresh mint tea was also perfect! And honestly employee of the month to Jennifer she was fantastic! All staff we spoke to were so great as well.

Just delightful. Having recently embraced a plant based* diet, its been a challenge to find appetising and creative meals. Wow Wagamama did not disappoint! The meso dish was simply amazing and the fruit juice was fresh. Inspirational.

Great quick service from attentive but relaxed staff (Julian), Pork Belly Ramen with rich sauce was fab and my citrusy Chicken curry was exactly as hoped on a warm evening. Yuzu and Cherry Blossom drinks hit the spot too

Great atmosphere, fantastic quick service. Great staff. Very busy but didn’t effect service. Food is great as well! Would highly recommend the Tuna if you’re new to Japanese food like me.
