I decided to give them one more chance as my previous experience was bad. After having a meal (mix Donner wrap) with the family, we all ended up with stomach problems, going one by one to toilet. I know a little bit about food preparation as my wife works in similar bussines. We suspect, the meat was unfresh.
Absolutely recommend Javits! The staff are friendly, helpful and just great at what they do. The food is by far the best in my area. I've been to every other takeaway within maybe 3 or 4 miles and Javits is by far the best. Hot tasty food delivered quickly! What more could I ask? Definitely be back!
This fish and chips shop is very unhygienic. The place is dirty, staff handle food with their hands after touching money, and the meat in the fridge looks unclean. The oil they use to cook the fish is very dirty and clearly not changed often. There’s no sanitizer or proper hygiene practices in place. Honestly, think twice before buying from there,it’s not safe, and you could end up sick.
Worst kebab I’ve ever eaten. Took 1.5 hours to show up and was stone cold. Tried to phone management the next day and they didn’t care.
Placed an order on the website stating in the notes section that I am ceoliac therfore cant have bread/pitta, asked to swap for couple chips if possible. Kebab arrived wrapped in bread. Rang the shop to ask if theyd saw my note lady confirmed they had. I got nothing but attitude "well what do you want me to do, you should have rang the shop" meat is now contaminated. If working in the food sector you should know about allergies and cross contamination! Meat was rock solid and dry, salad soggy looks like it's lay there for days definitely not fresh! Daughters chips were dry and hard drenched in thick brown sauce. Javitts Granton 10/10, Westerhailes - rude, ignorant with a no care attitude! Will never order again. Please be aware if you have any food allergies!! I dont want to give 1 star
Was impressed by extremely respectful behaviour of Ahmad who made fresh fish and chips for us … food was really good and all staff was very courteous …
Just this minute had a pizza and chips delivered and it was cold. Have to say I’ve used this chip shop many times and not often disappointed but tonight was really hungry and couldn’t eat it
The food is just as good as the original and best Granton Takeaway Javits. Donner kebab pizza done right, they call it Gangnam style and my god it's amazing! Highly recommended
We ALWAYS use Javits - it's our family favourite! Food cooked to perfection (hot - but soft - chips, nice and saucy (as requested), food exactly as ordered, friendly - and quick service - and delivery is the same.
