We had a party of 10 dine and it was a a shambles. We waited 40 minutes for starters, and 1 had been missed. Asked the staff, they came back 10 minutes later to say a big table was being served and we'd get it after that. Half an hour later the missed starter arrived. And we'd asked the mains to come with the last starter, but had another 30 minute wait. For those who hadn't taken starters they waited 2 hours for dinner. One of the mains was missed and one of the deserts, so all in all a poor effort. We sat down at 6.30 and were served deserts at 9.45pm. There were loads of flies in the snook which was horrible. At the end we spoke to the staff to say about experience, and was advised there was nothing they could do - kitchen had been backed up. All in all there are 10 mums who probably won't be back, which was a shame ad the food was nice when it eventually arrived. Missing a trick in customer service though.

Surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. Had a lovely sirloin steak daughter had fajitas. Both delicious. This place has picked its self up and is a very attractive restaurant and bar. I would highly recommend a visit not the cheapest but very excellent all round.

All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, in this spacious pub. Haggis bon bons? Don't mind if I do! That burger too, tasted exactly how it's meant to, like real beef...

Attended here yesterday as a Mother Day treat. The area we were seated was nice and bright. We ordered drinks and were given the menus but I had to ask for the Vegan menu as this was not offered and I knew there was one as I'd see it online. Our meals arrrived and I'd say the macaroni was average. My sisters vegan risotto however was awful. It was a runny consistency. I gave her bread from my meal as it wasn't enough for a main meal. After some time we had to call down the room to a staff member as we were left with dirty dishes and no drinks. The girl came having rolled her eyes when I called her. We were not asked if we had enjoyed the meal or offered further drinks or a dessert. We went to the bar were one girl took an order for drinks and took payment and another pourned the drinks and got them wrong We then asked for the bill and left. I would not return to this restaurant as it is expensive, food is not good and the service is awful. We did not speak to anyone there as no one seemed to be in charge.

After a rocky start with this place we were very pleased with our meals and the service we received both when booking and also when dining here. Food was amazing and the kids meals were great value for money. Will definitely be back!

Ordered a daquairi had to return it as didn't taste right. Received a vodka and diet iron bru in its place sure they don't cost the same. One girl behind the bar not good enough. Bruschetta soggy, pasta very nippy. My brother and family paid for this as they were here from Oz which I'm sure wasn't cheap. I paid for my own daquairi wasn't impressed at all.

I enter and as I check my phone, the mobile reception is poor. Surely they have WiFi? I ask the lady behind the bar (round spectacles and v-neck jumper) and she coldly (disgruntled/carefree attitude/Stoney faced) gives me the details. I can actually see the router so distance/walls shouldn't be an issue but I still can't connect. Showing her my phone, I ask her to confirm the details...looks once, says yes and walks away. My first impression?...not impressed. The order is taken and there's an issue, mine is the last to arrive...they've apologised for a mix-up. Anyway, it finally arrives and to be fair is delicious. Despite the food which was lovely, I had a poor experience overall and wouldn't return as it gave me the impression this was a poorly run establishment run on the back of a once great restaurant...new owners I suspect. The girl behind the bar (round spectacles/v-neck jumper) is not cut out for a customer-facing role but if necessary, needs urgent training for such a position. I would replace the current new, untrained, inexperienced or carefree customer-facing staff. The volume level and choice were superb as was the food...shame about the staff.

We enjoyed a lovely meal as a family just before New year. The staff were able to find us a table really quickly and service was excellent. The place is cosy, welcoming and warm! Definitely recommended!
