   I recently had the pleasure of dining at Blue Lagoon Fish & Chips, and it was an experience worth savoring. The haddock was delicately fresh and cooked to perfection, encased in a light, golden batter that was crisp and flavorful. The chips were equally satisfying: thick-cut, perfectly seasoned, and boasting that ideal balance of a crisp exterior with a soft, fluffy interior. Together, the fish and chips created a comforting, classic combination that hits the spot. We chose the Captain’s Combo, and it was more than enough to feed the two of us. The generous portions made it an excellent choice for sharing, offering great value without compromising on quality. What truly added to the charm of Blue Lagoon was the presence of local staff. Their warm, genuine service reflected a sense of community and gave the place an authentic, welcoming atmosphere. It’s not a fancy five-star restaurant, but that’s exactly what makes it so appealing—it’s unpretentious, down-to-earth, and rooted in tradition. While it might not be the very best fish and chips I’ve ever had, it certainly fills the craving with satisfying flavors and portions. Blue Lagoon Fish & Chips delivers a solid take on this beloved dish, combining fresh ingredients, generous portions, and excellent service to leave you thoroughly content. Dec 2024 Update: Upgrading the Fish to 4.8 STARS! We went again after X’mas and this time it was amazing! The staff’s service level is 5 Star still! If anyone had a bad one, come again next time and they won’t fail you.

   we ordered the set and the server forgot 2/3 of the items, we had to ask him again twice and each time he only delivered one item. The fish and chips had a lot of bones, and everything else just tasted horrible.

   Visited for lunch while out Christmas shopping. Place was very busy but we didn't wait long for a table. Staff were just fab, so friendly and helpful. Food was delish, batter was perfect, fish lovely and flaky and chips just right too. Fish supper comes with a cup of tea or soft drink too so good value in my opinion. Seating is outside in the shopping centre so it was a bit noisy as you'd expect in the run up to Christmas. You can get take out as well if you'd rather. Would visit again for sure!

   First time eating at Blue Lagoon today in Livingston centre, and can say it will be the last. Ordered chicken nuggets and chips to half way through my meal, find a long hair cooked into the chips and joining two chips together. Politely made the waitress aware who just took the plate away to make her manager aware and never came back to us with any feedback or even an apology from the staff, instead I was made to feel in the wrong for bringing it to their attention or complaining about a hair in the meal I was paying for. We then asked for the bill and we’re greeted with “enjoy your day” as we left the restaurant. Had to give one star to be able to post.

   They had a member of staff come right up to us, when we were very clearly waiting to order and she glared at us and then walked away without. The other three younger members of staff gave us amazing customer service, noticed they didn't have the young blonde girl anymore; missing out on her big time, appalling.
