Three of us had lunch at Salt & Vinegar, and could not have been happier! Fish, sandwiches, halloumi, potatoes, were very good, and even the salad was simple but fine. Typical lunch place interior, fine service, very good food. Wish it was closer to where I live, it would be a regular for me!

Been meaning to leave this review for ages and I'm sad to do it but it's the only way people learn. Was in here a while ago with my girlfriend as our food came my girlfriend picked up her cutlery to find the fork was dirty my girlfriend said to a waitress who was deep in conversation with another waitress she took it away and returned seconds later with the exact same fork that clearly she had just given a quick wipe I know this as there was still food on the other side of the fork, rather than have her lie to us that it was a new fork my girlfriend just ate without the fork. Not being able to do dishes properly is bad enough but to then not go get a new fork is beyond a joke and I've not been back since it's put me right off.

Had dinner here recently and was pleasantly surprised by the food offered. There isn't only the traditional chippy options, you can also get things like grilled fish and even pasta and risotto. The food was good and the staff were nice.

Not great. Food very average for the price. Only the fish in breadcrumbs in halal, not in batter. How strange. Couldn't even order onion rings as the waitress said they weren't halal. Chips were literally a kids portion. Not good value for money..Wouldn't return for this reason.

Great dining experience at this place. Polite attentive staff. Haddock soft with crispy breaded batter although I had better in Blackpool. This was certainly some of the best I had in Glasgow. So much food only for £8.75 with black tea included. Black tea tasted pretty ordinary and low quality so one recommendation would be to either add a better brand such as yorkshire gold or remove this from the menu.

Table for two at 5.30. We parked in a nearby street with no parking restrictions. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but got busy as the evening progressed. The surroundings were bright and airy with a nautical theme. We chose to sit in a booth and our waiters were attentive but not overbearing. I had mussels in spicy tomato broth with garlic bread. My better had the mussels in the white wine sauce. Both were nice but I definitely preferred mine. The portions were massive for a starter. For main I had the seafood linguine in tomato passata whilst my better half had the lobster ravioli. Again, the portions were great and the food was very tasty. We had also ordered onion rings as a side but we struggled to finish them as we were so full. The staff kindly gave us a doggy bag to take them away. Clean, bright surroundings, unpretentious, good tasty food, big portions and friendly and efficient staff. As Arnold S. would say, "Eating is not cheating" or something like that

Had the best fish and chip supper ever today, thanks, Salt and Vinegar. The take away food was delicious and the young man taking orders was so polite, efficient and welcoming and thank you!! Definitely going to come again.

10 out of ten for their haddock and chips. Succulent, perfectly cooked, perfect size, perfect taste, not greasy, caught in Scotland. And the promotional price for lunch - £5.50 - is unbeatable. Chips were fat and crunchy, the way they should be. A special mention and big thank you to Keith who served me today at 1pm. Keith is a great asset to this popular chippy. It was lovely to cross the road and eat the fish n chips in Queen's Park in the warm March sunshine.
