My wife and I discovered Obsession of India (25 High Street, Glasgow) in the weeks leading up to our wedding, and we ended up going three times with both of our families because it was that good. The food is incredible, the flavours are always perfect, and the service is genuinely outstanding. The wait staff even handled our visiting Americans with total patience and humour — they were absolutely brilliant about it. We loved it so much we even ordered from here on our wedding night. Absolutely sensational every single time. Highly recommended! Cheese Naan is to die for - and I nearly did due to lactose intolerance but it was worth it.

Second time eating here, the staff are so attentive and take time to explain the menu. The variety of dishes on offer as well means everyone can enjoy a meal as the mains are cooked to order the level of spice can usually be adjusted as well!

We’ve had Indian food in over 40 countries. This rates among the top 10. Chicken jalfrezi, Rogan Josh, and karahi. Excellent with just the right spice at ‘medium’. The decor and lighting are adorable. It’s the perfect ‘casual spot with some Indian atmosphere’. Service was super friendly and kind. House Sauvignon blanc paired very nicely with the curries. At a time when other Indian restaurants are doing ‘modern takes’ on Indian food it’s nice to have delicious traditional curries!

This is a nice restaurant to grab some good Indian food. The two curries we had were good and well seasoned. The meats (lamb) were nice and tender as well, which made the dishes all that more enjoyable. The garlic na'an was very delicious and was a nice compliment to the curry dishes. The service was good and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Overall, it was a very good price to quality ratio.

Excellent food, friendly expert staff. A very pleasant atmosphere and a tempting menu. Vegetable pakora starter, then I chose a delicious lamb butter masala, my dining companion chicken tikka karahi.

Absolutely loved the restaurant and the service was so friendly. Food was a delight, perfectly cooked and flavourful. Not spicy but able to request if that's your taste. Had a wonderful chat with the owner and he made our experience 5*

Me and my friend booked Obsession of India, really good service. We absolutely recommend the Cheese Nan as we ordered two lots. We had Chicken Tikka Balti which was lovely but hot. Would definitely go again.

5 Stars are not enough to rate Obsession of India. I would rate this 10 stars! I first visited this Glasgow gem in 2018 on a Thursday evening and the place was packed. We were happy to wait for a table, as someone (with impeccable taste) recommended it to us as the BEST India food in Glasgow. Although no one left the restaurant suddenly a small table next to the kitchen was empty. Once seated I noticed the man who had been at the table sitting in a chair next to the coat rack. He offered up his table as his finished his wine. We invited him to join us and he offered us recommendations as he eats there several time a week. The meal was FABULOUS!!! Back in Glasgow in 2022 I fancied another amazing meal. I mentioned the man who gave up his table and the owner said they called him to say we were back. Reunited with an old friend we enjoyed another great meal. On my last night in Glasgow before going to see Sparks at the Barrowlands I returned. On all three occasions the food was spectacular, atmosphere was perfect and the service was impeccable. I'll be back again and again. Thanx to Cammy and Sangeta for the great food and hospitality. Do yourself a favour and stop in for a wonderful meal and a great night out.

Very good value for money at this great Indian on the edge of Glasgow's Merchant City. The food was delicious & quickly prepared. As we came in for lunch the restaurant was quiet, with only ourselves and one other set of customers present, but the atmosphere was still pleasant and authentic. We booked a table for lunch but it didn't appear to be necessary. The staff were pleasant enough, could be friendlier but no complaints overall. The layout of the restaurant was very simple, facilities were easy to find and extremely clean. I would recommend this restaurant.
