Ordered from this place last night. I had only been sitting for a few minutes before my food was ready. The staff was polite and didnt seem to mind that i wanted stuff taken out of the original meal. Overall i enjoyed the food and it was pretty cheap compared to what im used to paying for food. Great place to get food
Ordered special fried rice a d whole lot in the bucket. Chicken was dry , pork rubbery no flavour whatsoever Not using again
The food is absolutely delicious! By far the best chinese I’ve tried in Edinburgh (after being here for 4 years).Big portion sizes and great value for money, definitely recommend!
Special curry, egg fried rice, prawn toast, Singapore fried rice ordered through JustEat on a Monday. Special gravy more like, barely any resemblance to a curry, very tasteless/bland. Prawn toast borderline incinerated. Singapore fried rice tasted very Tabasco sauce like in flavour, a lazy way to spice things up and nothing like any Singapore/Yung Chow rice I’ve ever had. Came with what I hope are free spring rolls as I never ordered them (nothing to write home about so I’d be annoyed if I paid for them) and free prawn crackers (never even tried them) Review would have been left on JustEat but didn’t give me that option. Do not recommend.
Great food! With decent prices- although my last two orders that have arrived were not what I ordered! - received Thai Green Curry instead of Red and before that Salt & Chilli Chicken instead of King Prawns!-Sorry! would of gave more stars!
Best Chinese in the area. Must have literally tried every dish over the years, and every time it’s arrived piping hot, good quality, and the containers full. Love how you can order crispy beef/chicken with a selection of sauces. And one of the few Chinese places that do a proper thick satay sauce, not watered down pish like other places! Updated and lower review - asked for salt and chilli ROAST pork. And got home and it was deep fried in batter. Went in the bin as can’t eat batter at the moment. Thank you very much.
Decent food but didn’t read notes and ruined my scran, asked for sauce but apparently only Chinese that don’t do chilli
I’ve ordered a few times from Hung Fung now and enjoyed the food each time. I’m quite picky and they’ve been consistently good! My new go to Chinese in the local area.
Lucky to get 1 star. Really disappointed after ordering from here over 20 times. Ordered for a group of 4 at 20.52 - Order ID : 671861976 The order arrived at 22.17 but they had forgot one persons chicken chowmein. When I contacted them, they apologies and promised to send it out within 10-15 mins. Received a call from the delivery driver at 22.45 to confirm my address again. This didn’t arrive so had to call back up at 23.09 and received attitude. They had tried to deliver it to another address on my account which I have not used in over a year. Surprised they got that wrong considering they had already delivered that night to the correct address. They then said that they would deliver it tomorrow. That’s not a solution so I asked for a refund of the chicken chowmein but they refused and then hung up and wouldn’t answer the phone afterwards. Obviously just went home. Shocking service. Definitely lost themselves a customer. Update: Received £6.50 refund in cash delivered to my door
