Got chicken chow mein couple forkfull in chewed on something big and hard spat it out was like a bit of bone like spine or something thought I broke a tooth tbh. Sick straight away never knew what it was last time order from take away home made from now on!!!!
Came here for the first time tonight, on good reviews. The service and price were good, though the portions are on the smaller size. However unfortunately, the food was disappointing. It was clear that the oil used to fry the food had been overused and not filtered properly as it left a rather bad aftertaste. Rice seemed reheated also and the chicken was rather tough.
We just love this take away and have been using it for well over 30 years. We've never had a bad meal and never had the wrong order. Staff have always been friendly, from the lady who takes your order to the delivery men and women. We always recommend it and been thanked for the recommendation. Best Chinese takeaway.
I have used south light since I can remember my family used to meet up every Saturday and order for around 30 of us or may we more haha, orders were more than perfect lots of extras nice and hot. I have my own family now and we use south light when it’s a Chinese take out night. I wouldn’t use anywhere else Lovely people and nice food cooked to perfection every time Thanks guys

Chicken curry was terrible. The chicken was hard and overcooked and there were peas in the curry! The woman who takes the orders didn’t not have a good demeanour.The large spring roll was tasty though.
Fried rice was reheated as if it was stuck to the container curry sauce was way to thick couldn't even taste it just wasn't fresh not good enough
First time using here. Thought I'd try a Chinese more local. Was disappointed. When I collected it. The portions were small i didn't expect. Thought OK but as long as its nice. Sadly it wasn't the chicken tasted chewy as if its been reheated or over cooked, there was plenty of chicken that we couldn't eat and there was hardly any sauce.they don't accept card too so make sure to take cash. They should make this clear when you call to place an order, especially in this day when most people don't carry cash on them.
