They seem to dish up plates on the serving hatch say 6 plates chef walks over puts a sausage on each plate and continues walking backwards and forwards placing individual items on a plate so by the time the last item has been added the 1st item is cold

This was a great pub for drinking, with a stylishly presented counter! Interior has nice yellow lights and seating is well seperated, enjoyed a drink of Leffe's although the area is a bit cramped and service was decent could have been faster.

Went for lunch. 3 of us. Ordered 2 fish and chips peas. 1 fish peas mash potato. The fish was dreadful; so thin over battered. I have seen more fish in a fish finger. Mash potato cold and a very small serving. Was offered free deserts but declined. No refunds or vouchers offered. I won’t be going again.

It was very busy and very noisy. This was the only reason for the four star rating, so not their fault. The food was typical pub grub and very reasonably priced. Once ordered, it was served very quickly. The food was presented well, and the quantity was good for a lunchtime meal. They checked that we were happy with our food, too. Would definitely go again when there.

A well appointed pub on the edge of the thriving shopping centre. Good selection of beers, lagers and cider. Food is good and the staff are friendly and efficient. Worth a try.

The forget so butter for jacket potato and the forget the fried egg for mixed grill. The steak wasn’t very good. The drinks were good. The staff did sort out very quick. But think I will only come in here for drinks and not food.

I had a really disappointing visit to Wetherspoons Yate yesterday (29/07/2019). I ordered a Tennessee Burger (Buttermilk Fried Chicken) from the Gourmet Burger range. I was very disappointed when my order came out and it was missing the bacon and onion rings from the burger. I spoke to the waitress who bought the food over and she spoke to the chef who confirmed I was missing these items. I was told they would bring some over. I had pretty much finished the burger when the bacon was brought over on a separate plate with the onion rings it was cold. My partner then informed the waitress who advised us the manager would come down to speak to us. On the way down to speak to us the manager went over to deal with a different tables issue before coming over to us. We informed the manager of the missing items from my order and then them coming out cold and we were told the bacon was designed to heat itself up within the burger. The manager did give us a refund for the burger but it was a disappointing meal. Some of the tables were far from clean and there didn’t seem like there was enough staff on the floor for the amount tables there were occupied. I would say the only good thing about Wetherspoons is how cheap the drinks were. The service we received was average but was overall a disappointing visit.
