The staff are very friendly and professional. 4 of us ordered the lunchtime steak sandwich, all of which were cooked to perfection to each persons taste. The gravy served with it was a delicious addition. Sasha who served us was so helpful. One of our groups is GF and she went out of her way to explain the many choices available. Thank you for a very pleasant dining experience .

Lovely pub in a the most perfect setting next to the canal. Ordered the grilled vegetable tart and a chicken /bacon sandwich and the food was simply not good lacking flavor and presentation . Adrian tried his best to tend too many tables which made everything take a bit longer than necessary. Hope they can do better as the pub has everything it needs to be successful .

Went there for Sunday lunch. One of had a roast, one fish and chips, and I had a seafood risotto. My risotto was fabulous - way better than pub grub. Lovely old building, warm, cosy atmosphere and cheerful staff. Busy but not crowded. Recommended.

Magic Cooking. We popped in here a couple of weeks ago and had the delicious sounding seafood risotto. Wow, how can one chef destroy what should be an easy meal to cook and enjoy. They had magically removed all taste and flavour. My guess is that it was cooked some days before and reheated. Absolutely tasteless.

Three of us arrived for Friday evening supper. Young but very attentive serving staff, who looked after us beautifully. We started with the sharers board with a side of the crispy chicken. This was followed by a signature burger which was well cooked, good onion rings and crispy chips. We also had the fish and chips, we decided to have the extra bread and butter and scampi, we probably wouldnt do that again. The fish was tasty and well cooked. The final meal was the smothered chicken. This was rather over cooked and dry but a good flavour. I probably just had bad luck. The pub is welcoming and you are always comfortable there. It suits all ages, the parking is good the location is amazing. I would certainly recommend it.

Quality pub food in a great ambiance alongside the canal. Well worth a visit and it's big so you are likely to find a space, but to be safe you can book. The tarmac tow path is along the Kennet and Avon canal and makes half hour walk from Bath to Bathampton.

Super location. Had a drink by the canal whilst waiting for our table. Only 2 staff in but they were friendly, helpful and cheerful despite being so busy. Lovely food, interesting place, enclosed beer garden and dog friendly. A most enjoyable experience.

Lovely pub, great design inside and it's spacious. Didn't have to wait to long for food. Food is plated up neatly and I was very impressed being a chef myself. Empty plates all round. Will 100% recommend this to people.
