   You can’t judge a place on 1 visit! Cash only. This review is to counter (don’t lean on it!) 2 things: 1. Quality 2. Customer service Quality We’ve been many times, the fish is amazing and we like the chips (and does everyone realise chip quality varies at all places dependent on the season?). We once didn’t enjoy the fish, once - had we based returning on that one visit, we wouldn’t have enjoy ‘sweet’, fresh fish - many times. Customer service The man (sorry, I don’t know you name) seems grumpy but…he’s not [I’ve even seen him smile!]. We go there partly for him. You know what you’re getting. I’d rather a ‘character’ than some false ‘engineered’ customer service! Give it a try!

   The food is awful and the service is worse. Dry and tasteless fish (cod) that was mostly inedible batter and soggy chips full of bits and pieces. Curry sauce was the worst I’ve ever tasted and the mushy peas were dull and watery. The sole server was sullen and rude. There is absolutely nothing to recommend Waves Fish and Chips. Avoid.

   Great fish and chips huge portions fed me and my husband. Owner is a European probably Spanish or Portuguese. Quite reserved but he runs the place alone. People please be patient if he's busy.

   Lovely fish and chips. Very reasonable prices too. Its so popular on Fridays so be prepared to wait some time. On some Fridays you can be waiting for 30 mins. Other days not too busy.

   First time trying this fish & chip shop in Frampton today. I wasn't sure if it was open as the lighting was very low and I drove past and then went back to check as I just fancied a quick tea. The shop area didn't look very inviting. I was served fish from the warmer and then I wondered how long it had been sat there. It was a big portion tho, fairly tasty fish and good batter but not overly hot. I didn't feel overly welcomed in but to be fair I wasn't very chatty either. The man looked like he was wearing a grubby grey overall with dirtier sleeves, which has put me off and I don't think I could visit again unless this changed. It could have just been very old and stained but clean, however, it was really hard to believe that. This place could be so much nicer, more welcoming and cleaner looking and I hope my review is taken as constructive rather than negative. It's really good to have local food businesses and I do want to support those we have.

   Superb, freshly cooked food as always. I've used this reliable chippy many times over the past couple of years and it is consistently excellent. Great value too. The batter is always tasty, light and crisp - not slimy inside like many places. The cod is always very large and fresh. What's not to love about this place? Nothing - it's simply brilliant!

   Although open, at 8.20pm on Saturday, they had run out of chips and I was turned away. So be careful of the time and avoid going within 30 minutes of closing to avoid a wasted journey and disappointment.
