Absolutely disgusting luckily enought we bought pasties and chicken in Tesco next door. Chips are fried from the day before sharp over fried edges black and eyes left on them that's what you can see what are you eating you can't see
They've halved the size of a large chips without reducing the price! It used to be good value to get a large chips to share, now it's only good for one hungry person. Used to go regularly but don't anymore because it's a rip-off!
I couldn't believe how big the piece of cod was! I can always finish a portion from any other chip shop I've been to, but this piece had me beaten! Brilliant value for money. The chips were cooked well and the peas and curry sauce were lovely. Always a friendly greeting. Clean and tidy premises.
The service is always spot on & very friendly, the premises are super clean and maintained. Unfortunately my last take away was inedible, the chips if I took a guess were salvaged from lunch time for the evening service and the fish though it appeared freshly cooked wasn’t up to the standard I’ve had from Nemos on previous visits. One happy dog though who enjoyed the fish when the batter was removed so not all lost.
Our local chip shop has closed down and I really wanted to have a decent fish & chips. I looked on google maps and saw a few in the area. One I have tried and wasn't too impressed, another offers a carvery on top which I don't think would be good (judgement call). I saw Nemo's and the good reviews. It was only a 6 or 7 minute drive so I took the plunge. They take card and I paid £12 for Fish, chips and curry sauce. Yes, these are the prices now across the industry. I took them home in a bag and my was I in for a treat. The fish was golden and crispy. It tasted amazing and not very greasy at all. The chips tasted of potato and not just fryer fat. They looked a bit whiter than normal but that didn't matter. The curry sauce was as expected, proper chip shop style and I splattered it all over. Portion wise, the fish was very big for a normal fish and there were so many chips, I couldn't eat them all. Brilliant little gem and would return. I noticed there are GF options which is rare. When my mother in law is in town, we know where we are going!
Always good fish and chips from here! Fish is flaky and tasty, and the batter is really good. Chips great too!
The man working behind the till the I hear his Name was fish or something he can not salt and vinegar the chips for his life my dead nan could do better and I could see the grease on his hair and the chips were grease and not flavourful think his name was Cameron
Nice food sometimes there's a bit of a wait as cooked to order but the fish was very nice and not dry chips are very good as well
I live around the corner from this place and have never tried ordering from nemos until recently. Had fish and chips and was thoroughly impressed. The fish was cooked fresh, the batter was light and crispy and not oily, with 1 generous serving of chips,enough to feed 2.
