Great chip shop,stayed open after 2pm just to cook for me .10/10 for fresh food. Note to cook though...please ease off on salt in curry sauce.way to much and ruined lovely food.thanks
Ive not had chipshop fish and chips in about a year so thought to go as a treat as not too expensive (£11.50) Lots of chips and a big fish. Both cooked well. I am stuffed. Service was good.
under new management couple of months ago, prices have gone down under new management. from 13.50 to 11.50 for a large cod and regular chips. staff are lovely and attentive. portion is massive, fish is fresh. try if you can!

very clean and spacious, impressively low noise for a chippy. good price on most items. had a mixed wrap. plus a pot of curry sauce. wait was short. reasonable portions. excellent quality.
Simons fish bar has always exceeded our expectations, what ever we have ordered has been delicious especially the kebabs. Everyone is so friendly and kind I would 100% recommend Simons fish bar.
Very disappointed with my cod today. I am not one to really leave poor reviews. It was that poor that I had to go next door and pay £3 for ketchup to drown it out. My worse cod experience to date. I ordered a piece of cod alone £6 not a bad price I thought. I then added a lot of their vinegar (must be watered down) as I could barely taste it. Outside batter was solid over crispy, inside was nearly raw and mushy and full of raw batter I will add photo and you can make your own minds up if it will allow me. I hope today was a one off tbh and I can only review the cod as that was all I ordered
Great chippy with nice new options for vegetarians (halloumi! Yum!). Good value and very friendly staff.
I popped in here not long before closing time, & ordered a large donner kebab, salad, & chips. The portion of chips was tiny, & I obviously had the last of the kebab, as there was hardly any meat, & it was very dried up, & chewy. There was no tomato or cucumber in the salad, & they had the cheek to charge me £9.50 for that! If they would visit other local kebab shops they will see what a proper kebab should be served Like. I still can’t believe what they served up & charged me! Never again!
I have been working up the road and have visited 3 times at lunch time and all 3 times I've been very impressed. The lunch time menu is fantastic value for money and I've received great portion sizes. The food has always been freshly cooked and has been piping hot! Chips cooked to perfection and I'd definitely recommend trying their home made curry sauce! Very tasty and I'd make a trip just to get their curry sauce again! Top class chippy! Also friendly staff!
