One of the best cafes I have eaten at. Best toasted sandwiches and selection of cakes. I had the Bacon, Brie and Chutney which was delicious and my partner had the Sausage and Cheese both were 100/10! The staff are so welcoming and lovely. Feels like you at home. Highly recommend.
I popped in today for a quick take-away and was tempted by the Butternut Squash Soup which arrived quickly in a large lidded cup with some delicious looking bread presented in a nice box complete with a wooden knife and spoon. I then drove the short distance to the Chew Magna Lakes and sat in the Sun overlooking the water and thoroughly enjoyed My meal. The Cafe itself is warm and friendly and obviously a favourite spot for friends to meet up. The Staff are very nice and seem happy in Their work. Very glad to recommend.
After a weekend camping near by, we wanted somewhere warm, dry and with good food and atmosphere before the long drive home and I'm so glad we ended up here. He had poached eggs on toast with bacon, sausage and avocado and I had the butternut squash soup followed by a pecan pie slice and everything was absolutely delicious. The thing that really makes this cafe a 5⭐ choice is the staff though. We walked in to the warmest, most genuine smiles and welcomes. The two young ladies who were working today were so sweet, warm & kind that we nicknamed them "Little Ray" and "Sunshine". They are such a credit to this cafe that next time we are in the area, we will definitely be returning due to the amazing customer service
Came for lunch. Sat outside. Watched the world go by. Lovely service from Tasmin. Tasty simple menu. We had a Toastie and some Olives. Smoothie was delicious. Would definitely return
Nice and cosy.Inside and outdoor seating plus garden patio area at the back ideal for summer months. Polite welcoming staff. Ordered two flat whites and an almond croissant. Although the ☕️ was hot, it was lacking in taste, not strong at all, plus it was served in a glass rather than a cup not ideal for a hot beverage. The croissant was far too sweet, even for me. The topping was more like a very sweet sugary paste and barely any almonds I left feeling quite sick. It's a bit expensive price wise, but I guess due to where it is, it's not surprising. I would recommend that if you visit this cafe to come early as it seems to be a popular place for the local people. I doubt that I would come again, but only because I prefer a much stronger coffee ☕️ and in a cup.
Lovely cafe set in the heart of Chew Magna. Good choice of menu, delicious coffee and cake.
Fantastic full English in this lovely cafe in picturesque surroundings. Staff so nice and the food was top drawer. Definitely recommend it. Free parking in the village centre too.
We visited in Feb 23 and the place is under new ownership. Clean, fresh food and great service. 4 coffees, 2 breakfasts, 2 cakes and 2 orange juice all lovely and was considerably cheaper than most places in the area! We will definitely be back.
So I ordered a sausage roll for lunch today and it was served cold!!! When I asked for it be heated I was told there is no way to heat it. I suggested that maybe they should tell customers that when they order it! I got the attitude oh it’s counter service! Yes I understand that but who want a cold sausage roll when it is 5 degrees outside! Anyway I will not return, Jars next door is far more friendly and no attitude so that’s where I will stay. Oh and the coffee was not hot!
