We had a Sunday roast. The roast potatoes were reheated as they were like rock and the rest of the meal was only luke warm it's a real shame it used to be a lovely roast but not at the moment

Went here on the way back home on the off chance they were servicing food on a sunday. I had the Caribbean combo and its was perfect. Jerk chicken and curry goat. Kids were happy with their food and it was really cheap for the amount of food we had. Only thing, it was dead. Only a few people drinking and one other table eating. Im sure they will pick up as the food was great.

The anchor is a pub that has been through quite a few changes. It used to be quite poor, however I cannot say the same now. The anchor now has the restaurant ‘YB’s Bistro’ within it and it is great! We didn’t have a Jamaican restaurant in Pill until this one came along and smashed it. Their jerk chicken is delicious, perfectly seasoned and spicy! As well as their lovely Jamaican dishes, they have traditional pub food too, their lasagna is to die for. I have only had a lasagna that good at a specific proper Italian restaurant in Bristol. Love this pub and the owner is so friendly! Would recommend

Very nice pub. Friendly and welcoming staff. The food was great, too. Roast chicken salad, Gammon+egg+chips followed by apple pie, which was delicious. We got there as it opened at noon, so it was quiet. I'd imagine the atmosphere would be good later as it was getting busier when we left.

Really family and dog friendly, great locals and a particular thank you to Elisha (not sure I spelt correctly) for the genuinely friendly service. A grand day out.

Very good Caribbean food!! Ackee and Saltfish was stunning! Curry Goat was good as well, all presented well and beautifully spiced. Jerk Chicken and the Brown Stew Chicken next time to make sure. The Chef was great and so friendly who wanted to talk about the Food with Passion.

What a great find. Family dinner for 9 we all ordered starters the dumplings were a big hit. Our mains were a variety from the Caribbean menu and the traditional. All came out hot, fresh and enjoyable. The staff were very happy and accommodating. We had dessert too the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. We all enjoyed the food, drinks and the place was warm and clean and very inviting. Recently taken over. Menus attached. We will be back for sure..

Recently under new management with a new chef. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, well presented and delicious. The batter on the fish and onion rings was crisp and not greasy. Highly recommended We will definitely be returning soon.
