After a 30-year absence I felt right at home on entering. Delicious ale. A pub from yesterday. Busy, for 5pm as they were staff member down, and it was 2 days before Christmas.

Parked here for the balloon fiesta for the 4th year in a row. Excellent location - and perfect car park for the fiesta weekend. Parked here twice a day for the duration of the balloon fiesta and it was cheaper and closer than had I parked in the main car park. Easy to park and easy to get out at the end of the day. Same price held for the whole time too! Was a lovely girl selling lemonade on the Saturday and ice creams available from a van - better price than inside the fiesta

2nd time staying and we love it! Andy is really attentive, friendly and so kind! The rooms are spacious, very clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts are incredible too! Will definitely be returning!

A number of members of our family were wonderfully accommodated and looked after by Andy and Vicki over an extended period of family bereavement which required much flexibility to accommodate our needs. A great pub, full of history and character, providing lovely breakfasts and well kept ales. You won’t be disappointed!

Stayed at a caravan park around the corner so cannot comment on accommodation, but ate here 2 evenings and a breakfast. The food was excellent value for money and freshly cooked. Not an extensive menu but enough choice. Service from the landlord and Hannah was excellent, very welcoming. Definitely a place to return to.

Lovely old pub, walkable from Clifton village through Ashton Court estate, on the edge of Long Ashton village. Huge inglenook fireplace, multiple rooms, friendly service. 3-4 real ales on hand pump (check WhatPub for updates). Usually do food although the kitchen was closed on our visit. Courtyard garden, car park to rear. Toilets outside.

Lovely old pub with friendly staff and great breakfast. Bed was a bit lumpy but so close to Ashton court and gate was worth it

My son is at Bristol University and we have visited and eaten at this pub twice now finding it great value for money. The menu isn't extensive compared to some pubs but it's got enough on it to have a good choice and it is very well-priced. Good choice of beers too. Would highly recommend.

Lovely old village pub, steeped in history. Various rooms in which to sit and eat or drink, plus a beautiful courtyard. No car park - you can park on the side road next to the pub, just pull in tight to avoid the farm traffic that passes! Food is proper pub grub - good, honest food at v reasonable prices.
