   The Edelweiss Café is such a gem located in the center of Cheddar. The food was outstanding. We had the Full English Breakfast (one with meat and one veggie) and scones with butter and jam. Everything was fresh, tasty and served with love. 10/10, definitely recommend going there!

   Fabulous little café. The sandwiches were huge with really fresh ingredients and very tasty. We ordered a side of chips, which was also massive and they were lovely and hot and crispy. Definitely recommend! I can post pics of the food ‘cos we scoffed it all.

   Lovely little cafe tuck away just off the small river crossing bridge, into Cheddar Gorge. Food made fresh and with care for you, not just ‘dropped on a plate’. Would definitely return!

   We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The café had a good atmosphere and seating indoor and outdoors (for outdoor seating you have to order inside) we had coffee and both had a bacon, egg and sausage sandwiches. These were really tasty and had a good amount of filling, shame that one of the bread slices was the heel of the loaf causing the filling to squish out quite a bit. But nevertheless, portions size was good and tasty ingredients, so a minor blemish upon an overall good experience here.

   This small cafe really surprised me, food was fantastic and waitress was friendly. Jacket potato looked a bit different than usually, but it was delicious and what a astonishing vegetable soup. Must try! Ham in a sandwich was flavorful, perfect I might say!

   The food was great, no issues with the staff or seating. So why 4 star? They're just really slow to take your order through a window on the side of the building. It's not great to stand there for 15 minutes waiting to be served when nobody is infront of you.

   Lovely cafe and enjoyed a quick brunch however we felt staff weren't overly friendly and afterwards realised we were overcharged which is a shame as I'm a carer and my partner has a ABI after a stroke, he felt a bit upset and was unable to go back and query as cafe closed early. However nice spot next to river, and unable to park longer than an hour there.

   This is only the second time I have stayed in Cheddar after a 40 year gap (it used to be our annual holiday as a child) and last years stay was affected by Covid. This trip brought back some great memories including eating at Edelweiss. A lovely clean cafe with very friendly staff. The breakfast sandwich was delicious complimented by excellent coffee. Only time prevented me from having lunch but I will book in when I stay again next year.
