Not first time I've taken Mother here and again, not disappointed - just can't fault it! The staff, despite being quite young, are friendly and engaging and work seamlessly together as a team. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented. I really do recommend this place. We will definitely be back when I next visit mum :-)

Lovely little hidden gem. Seated in an old railway carriage, food superb. Hot, tasty and arrived in good speed. My only advice is if you are on the larger size the seating isn't easy to get in and out of but plenty of seating in the main dining area.

Just been for a Sunday lunch, not sure if it's changed chef/management etc, before it was lovely. Can't say I'm impressed this time, food not the best today. Quality not there, cabbage not cooked, meat dry and seems to be processed not fresh as previously.

2 empty plates says it all. We had the hunters chicken ciabatta with chips and a butterfly chicken salad with honey and mustard dressing.

Booked to go after our walk in the area. Booking was flexible and they kindly kept our table even tho we were a bit late. Kept us a big table with plenty of breeze for the dogs which was much appreciated. Food was excellent and served very quickly, despite the restaurant being busy. Puddings were amazing - I had the waffle which was HUGE!! All in all an excellent place to eat and we will be back

Oh what a gem! Lovely food and great hospitality. The train carriage was really pretty and I could have sat there all day.

A fabulous cosy place. Great fresh tasty food and drinks. I had the lamb dinner which was perfectly cooked. And really loved the dessert, which was a sweet and zingy mandarin and orange cheesecake. The staff are wonderful and so friendly, and they are super attentive and caring. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

A friend and I met here for a snack and chat. The menu is varied with gluten free options available and prices are reasonable. The seating is either inside in the actual carriages or the dining area adjoined to them plus there's an outdoor patio which can be used too. The food is freshly made to order and the cafe itself spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly and service was quick. It comes with the added bonus of being at the rear of the garden centre which has plenty of free parking.

Third time coming here in a couple of months and it's safe to say, it's our new favourite place. In fact, it's the only Sunday lunch my husband will eat that isn't cooked by myself... so win win for me and I've now got out of slaving away on more than one occasion! Great choice of meats, you can have one meat or mixed (which is huge!), plenty of sides/veg, Yorkshire puds to die for, plenty of condiments and plenty of gravy... which is great as my husband likes his swimming! The chap that took our order (pretty sure he runs the place) is so friendly, chatty and hospitable, we really wouldn't go anywhere else and highly recommend!
