   I was visiting this store looking for a SIM card and never had any luck. One of the young girls working there was extremely helpful. Visiting from Canada and no transportation, I was even offered a drive after they got off work! That’s fantastic customer service.

   Extremely helpful staff. Had originally called customer service national number and not got much help for returns/exchanges I was unsure of. Felt I might have some issues in store but was able to exchange with understanding, no problem. Nice to have a friendly local Matalan branch.

   Skeleton staff. Self service tills where you must scan, remove hangers and search for electronic tags to remove them, worrying that if you miss one you will set off the alarm, you can't help but think you're going to swap to online. Retail in store shopping should be a pleasant experience, not stressful one. Matalan, please rethink.
