Gone are the days when you could walk in with a script and have it dispensed after a short wait. You can't even pick up other items you might need that were once available from shelves etc. instead the system is really a collection point for a central dispensing facility so you now have to wait for Boots to process your prescription, deliver it to the counter, have it processed by staff in there and await a text message to say it's ready. Often taking 24 or more hours. In the meantime, your condition worsens. Such a shame as the staff are great but the system is letter customers down.

31/08/25 Lack of privacy - another lady had to talk about her mini pill in front of other customers. Pharmacist/Assistant came out of the back and shouted me by my surname, loudly - quite rude to shout someone by just their surname?! Had to give my name, address, DOB within clear earshot of the whole shop. This is my personal data. Asked loudly βDo you PAY for prescriptions?β In front of whole shop. Well, yes I do, but would I want to share that with the whole shop if I didnβt? Possibly not. I was taken aback by the experience today!

Iβm sorry but how can you have a sign saying you open at 9 and make everyone wait outside whilst youβre still chatting at the back. WE CAN SEE YOU!! There is 6 of us waiting in a line whilst you refuse to open the pharmacy. I have managed a few companies and opening on time was always a must in my books. Sad to say they didnβt have most of the prescriptions people enquired about.

I attended my flu jab appointment but was told it could not go ahead. They were currently undergoing refurbishment and had nowhere suitable to give vaccinations. I felt very sorry for the two members of staff that had to deal with customers that day. Prescriptiions were mainly in unopened crates and many customers in the long queue were turned away, the pharmacist did not turn up for work and they were clearly put in a very difficult situaiion. They handled customers very professionally and stayed very calm in a very stressful enviroment. Management need to provide more support for their staff especially during the weekends.

Avoid this boots if you can. They don't answer the phone - ever - and the staff is extremely unhelpful. I've tried calling multiple times of day, on multiple days, to see if it was a one time thing (it's not!) and it keeps on ringing until it disconnects from ringing for a minute straight. Is their phone line disconnected or do the staff not want to do their job? Who knows? I definitely don't because they don't answer the phone! How are people meant to pick up medications if they can't get through? And if staff doesn't actually process prescriptions (see other reviews, they say the same!) what are people meant to do?

Yet another boots store in a state of disarray. No pharmacist until 2pm but its now 1410 and no sign of the pharmacist. This whole company, regardless of location is a mess. Closing at times that prevent anyone who works to get pharmacy medication or, just closed full stop.

Iβd give it 0 if I could and Iβve been reduced to tears by the staff. The only thing thatβs consistent is the terrible experience each time I go here (sadly they are registered at the mo to dispense my repeat prescriptions but will be changing!). My doctors have prescribed me a 3 months worth of medication gut every time I go they give me the bear minimum amount of meds. These are medications thatβs needed to treat a potentially serious illness and and the fact that they fail to dispense the right amount of meds needed just makes it feel like they donβt care. I flagged this to my GP as well whoβve confirmed that thereβs no reason why they chemist should not dispense the right dose thatβs comes for my he GP. They never answer the phone, they shut up shop at lunch times when thatβs the only time most of us have time to nip down during work and pick up meds and highly disorganised with often times prescriptions being lost . Avoid avoid avoid!

Poor service and poor customer service. For a year they have failed to supply my regular prescription and have variously blamed me or the GP. After a meeting with the store manager in January, they managed February and March, but failed April. The assistant was quite hostile and would not explain why the meds had not been provided and made me dictate a list of my requirements even though they have a folder with all this information. That was 3 days ago and still no meds.

Very lucky to have 2 small Boots in my area, only 2 people allowed in shop at any given time. Staff are so accommodating and willing to please. Shopping on line is OK some of the time but much prefer to go and buy over the counter with all safety measures in place.

Thoroughly disappointed with the service. Booked a vaccination 2 weeks ahead for my elderly mum, when we turned up the store was closed with a notice to say the staff were out for lunch. Ahead of our appointment we kept receiving reminder notifications and after the appointment we were sent a notification saying we missed the appointment!
