   Turned up late on Tuesday evening… Ali and the chef were more than happy to make us up some of the best pani puri and chilli paneer starters I’ve eaten outside of India … for my main there was an amazing lamb biryani (melt in the mouth with no fat) with a paratha top, which was cooked (double in the pan and oven) to perfection and to my spice level… Great chat with Ali who is very passionate about the quality and taste of their food … can’t wait to visit again …

   I’ve been twice and loved it both times. The food had punchy, bold flavours with a good amount of chilli/heat. My favourite are probably the chicken wings - I could eat a bucket of it! The chef was also the editor and he was really good and attentive. Not sure I would go every week (small menu and outside) - but for something different I’d return from time to time knowing I’d get something tasty with high quality.

   In Bath with the family for a couple of nights. Being from Birmingham, we are used to loads of eateries that serve halal and are alcohol free establishments. In Bath, that type of environment is very difficult to find. Bandook does serve alcohol. However, the food is all halal so it had to do as the option. We had a late-ish breakfast. The Mumbai breakfast was superb. Portion size not huge just to be aware. The kids had full English but with Turkey rashers which is halal. Beans were superb. Price i must say is astronomical in my view but I guess when in Bath you have to pay Bath prices. Loads of tourists and just a pricey place so prices of meals are high. Served by a lovely waiter. Other than price, all good. We sat outside. Inside and outside seating available. Food is halal so a good place for that for Muslim families visiting Bath.

   A very good meal. The lamb curry was A HIT! extremely well cooked and tender. The fried fish was Devine. However the menu that was being advertised lately was not available and this is what we went for. The potatoes were just frozen and then fried potatoes in a sticky sauce - amongst the lowest quality I’ve ever had. We asked for an extra dish and we were recommended the chicken wings ( I don’t know what made them go on an Indian menu). They were sweet and had a great texture. Overall it was a good experience and the service was very good. The menu was limited though.

   Absolutely loved our meal at Bandook! The chicken and lamb biryani were full of flavour – tender meat and fragrant rice. Would be great to have a spice-level option for the lamb. The samosa chaat was delicious but could use two samosas instead of one, especially for sharing. The fish and chicken wings were both standout – crispy, juicy, and packed with flavour. Washed it all down with a super refreshing nimboo pani. Friendly service and great atmosphere. A couple of small tweaks and it would be perfect. Highly recommend the restaurant. It is a bit on the pricy side which you'd expect for the area!

   This place has delicious food (partially). We ordered the keralin Mooli ( the yellow curry in the picture) which was beyond delicious. It doesn't come with rice or paratha, so you'll have to order that on the side. The gunpowder chips and chili paneer were mediocre. Kingfisher beer is always good. Service was on par with the gunpowder chips.

   Nice food. Chicken, fish and prawns are all very tender. Service was quick. The area is bubbly. We ate outdoor on a very hot and sunny day, had to eat quickly because of flies. Unfortunately I’m not a fan of the type of spices they use or the flavour for the dishes we ordered. Although overall is good, it’s nothing special comparing to other Indian restaurant. It’s also very pricy. We are a family of 3 (8 year old) and only ordered one juice and tap water and the bill came £66. I’d highly recommend you to visit if you haven’t been, but I wouldn’t return and would rather try somewhere new.

   Nice Indian street food spot in Wapping Wharf. Quite small so expect queues in busy periods. Decent little vegan options but quite pricey! Still yummy food and one of the few places offering a good selection of vegan food in Wapping Wharf.
