   We went on Christmas Day and the restaurant was messy even though there were only two families. We got told to wait in the pub and left there for far too long at a dirty table as they cleaned our table. There were food markings on the tablecloth’s. We had to order a set menu that charged roughly £15 more than the food we wanted and the waiter who served us was so rude that we left the restaurant on Christmas Day with no food in our stomachs. Terrible experience.

   Ash and the team looked after us tonight and truly exceeded all expectations. We had the Monday–Tuesday deal, which was such great value and a lovely experience. We were greeted with complimentary popadoms and sauces, which set the tone perfectly. Lovely clean restaurant too. I had the prawn puri starter and my partner had the tandoori chicken — both were absolutely delicious. For mains, we went with chicken tikka and danzak, served with chips and coconut rice. We also had the pleasure of trying two additional dishes a sag alo and a peshawari naan — and, as always, they were incredible. Ash and his team go above and beyond every time. Can’t wait to return and a big thank you!l to you all.

   "What started as a 'second choice' turned into an unforgettable meal at The Tamarind in South Wales. We were recommended this place by our hotel receptionist after another restaurant was fully booked, and we couldn't have been luckier. The food was absolutely incredible, far surpassing any Indian meal I've had before. The highlight was my Phall curry—it was the perfect level of heat and flavour, delivering maximum satisfaction and living up to its reputation. The team was fantastic; every staff member was friendly and attentive, though the junior staff were especially warm and engaging. I'm almost glad I live far away, as it makes each visit a special occasion. A huge thank you for the wonderful hospitality and a curry so good, I had to save some for breakfast!"

   This place! What can I say other than absolute perfection. The food is always piping hot, it’s amazing tasting, the staff and manager are outstanding! Very polite, very professional, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, clean and tidy. Food delicious and amazing. I love going back here every time. Can’t wait to go again soon!

   Ordered food New Year’s Eve at 19:20, email confirmation to say it wouldn’t arrive till 21:30, tried ringing them to see if we could collect instead or cancel to order something sooner else where but they took their phone off the hook and avoiding people’s calls. Got through at 21:40 for them to say their printer didn’t work so they’ve not done our order. Appreciate its a busy evening for them, but it ruined our new years ringing for hours hungry!

   Excellent service by Jamie, and his fellow colleagues. Absolutely first class good food. Fantastic offer 15 quid for 5 courses. Foods amazing, plenty of it. Couldn't think of a better curry in hurry lol. Amazing staff and atmosphere. Thank you Tamarind Cwmbran.

   Arrived on a rainy Tuesday evening to be told they have a special offer of poppadoms, starter, main and side and an ice-cream or coffee for only £14.95 pp, what a bargain! If you think the portions were small think again! The food was quick, hot and fresh, the portions huge, so big we had to have a doggie bag. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough. What a lovely way to spend a rainy Tuesday evening, will definitely be back soon, very happy, thanks Tamarind!!!

   Had an excellent time there with my mum and sister. Sayem, the guy who served us, deserves a special mention. He was cordial and did a great job of looking after us. Went above and beyond to deliver outstanding service. The food was delicious, and the portions were good too.
