My son went in with his friend on his own into the shop and he was well-behaved. I didn’t cause trouble but then somebody who was at the security kicked by son and his friend out for no reason and said didn’t even see sorry that my wife had to go with my son and his friend entered the shop to buy my son‘s Christmas present and when we came out, the guy was standing outside the shop making sure that no other children went inside on their own but other stores my son had no problem going again with his friend and on their sports direct website it says that kids are coming on their own if they’re well behaved

Utterly Rude Staff (Lady) who said was the Manager. Date October 8th 2025 at around 5:30pm. We went back having slight hope that my wife's shoes can be replaced without the packaging (Box), which was washed (wet) as I cycled on the rainy day. Shoe was tight and my wife wanted to exchange for slight bigger, she went for a bit dearer price and willing to pay extra. Little Note: I did doubt they would exchange as Shoe Box was damaged and no written text or QR code was readable because of they got wet. This complaint is not about not able to get exchange but about that person who sadly is THE MANAGER! not in this planet could have this Rude person as a store manager who doesn't know how say no to a customer... Sad point was we have to give up a nice pair of shoes which was supposed to be a birthday present. and they have no where to complain internally so I poured my frustration here.... Avoid this store as previous reviewer flagged as well.

I bought two pairs of the same tracksuit bottoms in the Paisley store, sizes XL and L, only because there was a big red label “2 for £23.99”. The receipt clearly shows the discount – one pair £23.99, the other -£23.99. At home I realised the L was too small, so my partner went to the Glasgow store (closer to us) to exchange it for XL. Glasgow staff refused to do the exchange and told her she had to go to the Paisley store instead. The Glasgow manager insisted it was impossible that these trousers were on discount and claimed we hadn’t paid for the second pair, treating us like fraudsters and asking me if I had paid with my own card. When my partner, who is pregnant, decided to give up and take the trousers from the counter to go to Paisley, the manager tried to pull them out of her hands. After a brief struggle, during which she was physically manhandled, the manager threatened to call the police, but when my partner encouraged her to do so, she suddenly changed her mind. She then promised that if we went to Paisley, they would fix their mistake, so my partner let go of the trousers and agreed. In Paisley, the manager admitted the discount was a mistake but refused to exchange sizes unless I paid again(!). They also refused a refund, saying “discounted items can’t be returned” – even though they insisted there was no discount. In the end, they took one pair away and I was left with just one pair for the price of two. Absolute nonsense and zero respect for the customer. Never shopping with this company again. I am attaching photos of the receipt and the promotional label as proof.

I just had the most unpleasant experience in customer service in my entire life. I bought sneakers, tried it again at home and it turned out that I needed a smaller floor and immediately came back. I asked to change the size. The guys are very friendly. Then the "boss" came and said he wouldn't make an exchange for reasons I don't understand. My so-called old sole was three times lighter than those I wanted to change for. Terrible leader, I don't advise anyone to visit this store, disgusting attitude to customers !!!

Absolute terrible place to shop, bought a pair of running shoes meant for field running stupidly went one run with them on the path and whole heel has been worn down looking like a pair of shoes used for years not less than thirty miniutes despite having the receipt I was refused a refund, as far as I am concerned these shoes were not fit for purpose in anyway shape nor form and funny enough it was one of Sports Directs own brand labels and still no refund went a run with a pair of non running shoes and no damage or heel worn down at all for one use, the quality of product is sheer disgusting unfit for purpose and the refusual I would to accept fault with their product is even worse terrible service all around, I still refuse to this day to order or purchase a thing off such a low status retailer again

Pretty dissapointed. Just walked 30 mins to the store to buy 1 thing, arrived at 5.49pm for the doors to be locked. Closes at 6pm. Security guard said tills were already off. To be fair, I didn't check the times, however, but it wouldn't have made a difference it appears, as you shut 10-15ins earlier than stated. Very poor show. A wasted hour for me

Very bad staff and service, the shoes are all around in a mess , woman adult shoes under the infant and child section etc. Like they don’t care to organise plus if you ask for help they just point to a direction and that is it. Cleanliness is ok , could be better. Prices are ok though, there are some good deals despite being on a high street.

Where are the staff and why wont they help? Found the type of shoes I was looking for and had to go round and round the shop until I finally found a staff member. Asked if they had the shoes in my size and was told to wait by the display and someone would come to help me. After waiting fifteen minutes I decided enough was enough, put the shoe back on the display and left. While I was waiting I saw another customer go up to the counter to pay, wait for someone to assist them and then leave when no one appeared.
