Very gozy little restaurant with extraorninery service and athmosphere. The lamb was so soft and tasty. We were lucky to be there on sunday night when there were live music. Everyone was enjoying the night. The owner is so friendly and lovely.

Won't be everybody's cup of tea 'cos slightly quirky. A wonderful combination of food drink and eccentricities. Less than Β£100 with a good tip & Β½l of wine. Moussaka and Beef with aubergine where both fantastic. "Very nice Orange Cake" says the wife Both enjoyed the complementry ouzo & 'amuse' to start too. A must return I my book

We were lucky enough to get a table in this very cozy little greek restaurant in Edinburgh despite not booking as a couple were leaving just as we entered. The couple that were leaving immediately told us how good the food was and recommended the lamb tsigariasto. Unfortunately for us the lamb had sold out but the Manager happily recommended a few other dishes to us. We had the fried Zucchini and Feta Kedaifi to start, both were very well seasoned and generously portioned (perhaps a little too generous honestly, a very filling starter!) for mains we had Moussaka and Hunkar Beyendi, the Moussaka was good though nothing to write home about. The Hunkar Beyendi on the other hand was excellent, very tender slow cooked beef on an aubergine and bechamel sauce. We had no space for dessert having filled up on the generous starter and mains! Overall it was an excellent experience and the food was very good. The manager/Owner (who is also the main chef and sole waiter, at least on our visit) is originally from Crete and is clearly very passionate about the food and service he delivers. That being said it is hard to be everywhere at once and at times the service was understandably a little slow though never inatentive or inconvenient. If we were based in Edinburgh we would certainly be regulars.

The food is amazing. I highly recommend the feta in kadafi phyllo - so good! The live music when they have it is way too loud to have a conversation or enjoy.

Amazing place and service. You could really feel a very family-like atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was delicious, and there was live music playing! I went there on a date with my girlfriend, and I have to admit it was both our first time at a Greek restaurant, and we are absolutely thrilled! I highly recommend it to everyone!

This one is a little gem. I did not expect the quality and freshness they served. Authentic taste. Unique ambience. Highly recommended if you are around. The owner provides a genuine touch of sincere hospitality by his presence

Great service! Came here after flying into Edinburgh earlier that morning. We were promptly served. Food came out quickly and the flavor was exquisite. Portions were perfect- not too large and we left satisfied. Definitely recommend!

We went here quite late in a Saturday ( just 30 mins before close) and they couldn't have been nicer! Tasty appetizer and shot on arrival, followed by an amazing meal - I had the grief zucchini and lamb chops: the cost were so tender and flavourful, the fat was rendered perfectly; the fried zucchini was crispy with a soft centre. For dessert- the owners Baklava and cardamom coffee... Just perfect! We had a jug of the red house wine which was dry and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. I honestly can't recommend more!!

We had a delicious meal there in a nice atmosphere. The waiter/host was very kind and hospitable and the Tsipouro (a sort of Cretan raki) on the house was a very nice touch. The dishes are huge so it was a good idea to have one starter and desert (walnut cake) to share. I enjoyed the Dittani tea as well, it's an aromatic tea like a mix of thyme and oregano, very healthy. Will come again to try other dishes as well.
