I picked this pharmacy to collect my medication as its a 5 minute walk but I won't be using them ever again. The owner is such a rude person. He has acussed me of just turning up to collect my prescription without informing him that I was on my way but that is a complete lie. He even complained that I was late picking up my prescription one time, I'd arrived at 5:30, even though they close at 6pm so I don't know what he was complaining about. I've since changed my pharmacy as I don't have time for this guy and his BS.

Absolutely horrible. The manager and his employee is very rude and disrespectful. I would come here to collect my grandma's medication as it is very close to my house and is convenient for us to collect her which is the reason as to why we kept going here for medication. Every time we would come here to get my grandma's medication and my grandma would have a question about her medication he would always be really rude to her and whenever she would say something about her medication he would always call my grandma confused and would always speak to her really rudely instead of speaking respectfully. Then the last time I came here I had to come three times on the day. First to collect the medication. Then the second time to ask how my grandma would consume one of her new medication as on the label it said to eat half a day and then the third time was that grandma wanted to find out why her medication was increased. The third time i went in with my grandma, the manager was asleep on the sofa that is in the shop which itself is very unprofessional then when we went in he woke up and was very annoyed his sleep was interrupted and then I politely asked him about the reasoning of why this medication was increased and then rudely said I dont know go and answer the doctor. Then my grandma asked him in punjabi as her English speaking skills and not the strongest and in the past he has spoken to my grandma in punjabi but on this day, he acted as if he didn't speak punjabi so he didn't have to speak to my grandma and then when I translated the question he again very rudely said go to the GP and as we are talking to the manager, his secretary came out and started verbally abusing my grandma in punjabi and she said to stop annoying us and as we turn to leave the manager says to his secretary "this woman thinks she is her own doctor" i was calm and until this point but when I asked to repeat what he said my grandma ushered me to leave the store as she saw i was not happy with the comment he had just made. When I went home I phoned my aunt to change the chemist to one to another pharmacy nearby and when I told my aunt what happend she phoned up the pharmacy and they told her that I started to be rude to them and said that my grandma was troubling them unnecessarily and when my aunt asked what rude thing I said they hung up. Horrible customer service and will never come here again

I recently called this pharmacy to check if my prescription was ready for collection, and the interaction I had was nothing short of appalling. The male staff I spoke to was extremely rude and condescending throughout the conversation, displaying a complete lack of basic customer service skills. When I asked if my prescription was ready, I was abruptly told that I needed to pick it up from another pharmacy because they didn’t have the medication in stock. While that’s understandable, I wanted to clarify which of the two medicines on my prescription was unavailable. Instead of answering my question, he rudely questioned me back: “What is it that you asked before?” I calmly repeated my initial question, and he gave the same vague response, making no effort to address my concern. His tone was dismissive, and it was clear he was not interested in helping. When I pressed further and asked specifically which of the two medicines they didn’t have, he claimed he couldn’t disclose the names of the medications over the phone because he couldn’t verify my identity. Fair enough—had he explained this politely, I wouldn’t have had an issue. But the dismissive and patronising manner in which he spoke was unacceptable. What’s worse is that he could have easily verified my identity by asking for basic details like my date of birth and home address, but he made no effort to offer this as a solution. In frustration, I mentioned the names of the two medications myself and asked which one they didn’t have. He finally answered but continued to speak to me in an unnecessarily rude tone, constantly interrupting me whenever I tried to speak. When I politely asked him not to interrupt me, he became even more difficult, repeating his unhelpful response and continuing his unprofessional behavior. This is not the first time I’ve had an unpleasant interaction with this individual. Every encounter I’ve had with him has left me frustrated, as he consistently demonstrates a complete lack of empathy, respect, and professionalism. It's shocking that someone with such poor interpersonal skills is allowed to interact with customers, especially in a pharmacy setting where clear communication and compassion are crucial. If this pharmacy values its reputation and wants to maintain its customer base, they should seriously reconsider the way they train their staff—or better yet, reevaluate whether someone with such an attitude should be working there at all. Based on my experiences, it’s surprising this pharmacy is still running. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and advising others to do the same.

I started researching local charities that were doing collections for the people and towns most affected by the crisis after learning about the earthquake in Morocco that caused destruction everywhere. A friend mentioned that DP Pharmacy on Albert Road has started an urgent appeal to support the communities most impacted by the earthquake in Morocco. I was first a little hesitant, but when I went to DP Pharmacy, I was quite thrilled with what they had accomplished. The manner in which I was welcomed really astonished me. Both the employees and the owner were quite modest and soft-spoken. I received their gratitude for my gift. The environment was welcoming overall. The pharmacy itself was quite tidy and well-kept. I will undoubtedly continue to use this pharmacy.

I had good experience with their service. Boots take forever and have people standing in lines for hours. They told me they were out of stock after a long wait and were telling me all sorts of nonsense, however dp saw my prescription and immediately gave my medicines.

Lovely local pharmacy, always polite and friendly and even catered for me this afternoon as they were closing up for the day (I didn't realise they close half day on a Thursday) with zero hesitation. I've visited here on and off for the last 5 years and I've never had a problem with any of the staff.

First time at this pharmacy and worst experience I have ever had. I regularly visit other chemists due to health reason. A family member went to collect my prescription whilst I was in the car as I was looking after my daughter who was unwell as was I. He got told he needed to provide proof on the spot for my benefits. I've never been asked for it and was slightly annoyed that I had to leave my car with a screaming child. I walked in and showed my BANK DETAILS i have never had to do this but did it anyways as I simply needed my medication. I asked her the reason why I had to prove as I wouldn't be getting a fine because I am not a liar! The reasons were inadequate and we went back and forth which led her to tell me I walked in with attitude. That i was too LAZY to ger out of my car. When I replied back and asked her how dare she speak to me like that she simply told me to get out. Not once but a at least 3 times. There were others in the chemist and it was humiliating. Horrible woman deserved an earful from me after that.
