10/10 amazing place. Been there a few times and it never disappoints. Very friendly staff and amazing service. Food is always good. Sandwiches and soups are class but nothing compares to their meat and cheese board. Also the place is very pretty and cozy. Will come back for sure!

Cosy cafe with plenty of tasty treats! Had a delicious sandwich on homemade focaccia followed by a bread and butter pudding. Would highly recommend.

We're so delighted to have discovered this place. Its small and blends in, but its worth searching for. Mark & Lorenzo have created an outstanding little cafe / brunch / wine bar / salad bar. The menu is focused and everything is delicious, and everything is clearly made with love and skill. The soup (lentil) was delicious, the lentil, aubergine, and chorizo salads were all exemplary, and the desserts were sublime. Wine by the glass is just an extra cherry ontop. If you're hungry, or simply appreciate good food and supporting a wonderful local business, please visit. We'll certainly be back regularly.

Amazing all around! An absolute hidden gem that should not be missed by coffee lovers and foodies alike! I cannot commend enough the owners for the amazing attention to detail, dedication, and craft they show to everything they are selling in their shop. The homemade sandwiches and cakes/desserts are incredibly delicious, bursting with flavour, and just feed the soul! I definitely had the best Basque Cheesecake outside of Spain; totally worth the extra calories! Pair everything up with very tasty coffee, and you definitely have an amazing pit stop to start the day or recharge! Should we return to Edinburgh, we will return without a doubt!

Excellent coffee. Nice ambience and really uber-delicious basque cheesecake. We met the owner and she is affable - not to mention it is laptop friendly. Highly recommend this coffee shop!

The best cafe and food available in Edinburgh. I was shocked to find all the sandwiches and treats were made by the owner fresh using organic materials. If you are conscientious about your consumption source then this is the place for you. All the food is very high quality and there has always been a vegan, veg or pork free option in every visit. The service is the best you will find in Edinburgh. The unique thing about the experience is the wonderful sense of community provided, in my visits I have had lovely chats and interactions with the owner and other customers. Must go cafe!

Wonderful wee cafe! We enjoyed delicious toasted croissants with mozzarella, tomato and pesto, alongside a great latte. Lovely home baked cakes too! Thank you Alibi Cafe!

Absolutely deserves 5 stars! What a lovely cafe/bakery. I was surprised that this place was so quiet when we visited on Saturday morning. Frances is very welcoming and super friendly. I canβt believe that she does this all by herself; itβs very impressive. She has a nice selection of sweet and savoury food. She learnt a lot of her baking skills whilst she visited France and it was lovely to hear some of her story. My wife got the bacon roll which she thought was excellent and I got the focaccia filled with amazing ingredients that I canβt remember, but I do remember it tasting unbelievable! The focaccia was large and satiating. We had room for a pistachio financier which had a very unique texture and tasted fantastically sweet. Bill came to a reasonable price. What a wonderful place which we will definitely be back too.

My family is visiting Edinburgh from the US and we were blown away by this cafe. The coffees, filled croissants, and pastries were all incredible! We tried many. Great tables in the front and a nice sitting area in the back. Best of all, the owner was the most friendly person we met on our entire trip. She was so kind to us and our two young children. We highly recommend!
