What a great place for a breakfast, lunch or something sweet. The staff is very friendly, the coffee is great, they have wide array of home made cakes and snacks. The breakfasts are amazing. You can find both traditional Scottish classics, but also many other options. Lunches are wonderful, always a choice of a soup, and tasty meals. Highly recommend!
Fantastic place for breakfast/brunch. I have been here a few times now and never disappointed. The food is excellent and the staff are great.
Food was fresh, beautifully made and yummy. The Mojito Mint tea was refreshing. Service was exceptional. Staff were friendly, warm and helpful. Beautiful decor, relaxing music. Will come again. I'd like to try their breakfast next time
La Viola, Edinburgh – A Sweet Slice of Heaven Tucked away in the heart of Edinburgh, La Viola is a dreamy little haven for dessert lovers. I tried the pistachio cheesecake and the Nutella cheesecake — both were pure indulgence. The pistachio was silky, subtly nutty, and beautifully balanced, while the Nutella was rich, decadent, and melt-in-your-mouth divine. Each bite felt like a quiet celebration. A perfect spot for a sweet pause in the city.
Good food, good price. I ordered a large lemon cheese cake that tastes AMAZING (and only for 35 pounds). Superb service as well. I requested to try the pistachios cheese cake, and I was kindly given a tiny slice for free. That allowed me to make better decisions regarding my purchase. It was very generous of them (as I was not able to try any cakes for free elsewhere!)
The staff are incredibly friendly. My girlfriend saw someone else breakfast and instantly wanted the same, the chef saw her looking and came out the kitchen to ask if she would like to amend her order. Will be stopping back here!
