Such a delight! So glad we dropped in. The young lady helping us offered to cut the delicious sandwich in half AND portioned out the soup into two bowls. If we didn't live in Canada we'd be back for more soup! Thanks for such a marvelous lunch.

Really unhygienic. Both tea cup and glass came out grubby feeling and with visible dirt on them. I couldn’t use them. Bathroom had no soap and felt filthy too.

My first time visiting this coffee shop this morning and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. I'm stunned to see so little positive reviews. A warm vibe on an overcast day in Edinburgh. An excellent oat flat white and the lemon and pistachio blondie was excellent partnered together. Two ladies behind the counter were pleasant and attentive. Polite and positive experience all-round. I'll definitely be back to try more of their varied menu. The interior is rustic and welcoming as you walk in. A truly lovely spot in Marchmont.

Service is poor, atmosphere non-existent, and just a bit cold. The woman serving initially ignored us at the counter, despite having seen us, as she stood and chatted to her friend at a nearby table for a few minutes. She then forgot to take down the order properly, despite being told several times, and another waitress had to come and double check. The cafe atmosphere isn't great, it was just full of students quietly sitting on laptops. The cafe was also quite cold inside. Overall the drinks and cakes weren't of the quality for what was being charged for them. Especially when there are better cafes on offer just up the road.

Great coffee and a nice cake. Ambient atmosphere with tables made of old Singer sewing machine as stands! I would have sat outside to view the Meadows but it started raining. Inside is great too.

It is a cute café with a nice relaxing, spacious atmosphere. They have seating inside and outside. The staff are friendly and the service is efficient enough. They serve the usual drinks like coffee, tea and hot chocolate along with some cakes and toasties. I think I'd agree with the average rating and give it 4 stars because the food and the coffee is okay and we had better coffee in this area. I'd be more interested in this café delivering something unique to stand out more. Overall, I would recommend you stop in for a drink and snack.

A lovely bright and airy space right on the edge of the Meadows. Plenty of seating and friendly service, plus a wide selection of pastries and sandwiches (though I can’t personally speak to their quality due to allergens). My only complaints would be that it can be chilly inside and the WiFi can be weak at times. Otherwise, definitely a place worthy of frequenting!

The staff are really friendly and it's a nice place with a good atmosphere but their prices aren't advertised anywhere which I think is very sneaky. You just have to order and hope it doesn't bankrupt you. Hot chocolate (£3.80) was alright. The mocha (£4.20!) was pretty small but alright too.
