I am a very anxious dental patient but Kelsey and her colleagues did their best to keep me at ease during a painful issue. I really appreciated the little blue aftercare bag. I was referred to Edinburgh Dental Practice by my NHS Dentist as they were not confident of being able to complete an extraction procedure as they thought it may prove to be Difficult . I was seen by Dr Kelsey Shortiss for my initial consultation and she looked at the tooth and went through all my options Once the appointment was booked the procedure was done in a very professional manner Kelsely and Natalie were great and really did put you at ease .from general conversation I became aware they did not work together that often but in terms of carrying out the procedure that was never evident. The procedure was as pain free as any extraction could be and after I was given a sheet on what to do and covering every eventuality and a bag with pain killers for the inevitable discomfort that follows any extraction All and all the given the experiance and professional attitude of every one at the practice , I would not hesitate in using them again for any Dental procedure I require .
Kelsey made my daughter feel very comfortable before proceeding with her treatment. At every stage my daughter was consulted to ensure the anaesthetic had taken full effect and she was at peace before the procedure began. My daughter was so relaxed with her headphones on she didn’t even realise the treatment was over and done with. Was very quick and efficient. Team were so friendly from start to finish including the reception staff, a pleasure to be greeted with a smile! Plenty of availability for appointments and not a problem if any date doesn’t suit. Premises smells clean, bright open space dental rooms. All treatments explained in depth and photos shown on screen as examples of your results which is quite comforting. Would definitely recommend if you need any dental work done.
Outstanding Implant Care from Dr Ferhan and Kasia I had what could have been a very complicated and costly complication during an implant crown fitting at another practice in Edinburgh, where the screw unfortunately fractured inside the implant. As a dentist myself, I knew how technically challenging it is to remove a broken screw from within an implant and that it would require a highly skilled surgeon. I contacted Edinburgh Dental and was offered a same-day appointment. From the moment I arrived, the professionalism of the entire team was evident. I was seen by Dr Ferhan, whom I knew through my colleges years but had never met in person before. His expertise, calm approach and precision were truly exceptional. He successfully removed the broken screw and arranged for a replacement. Today I returned for the fitting of the new screw and crown, assisted by Kasia. The appointment was smooth, efficient and completed within 15 minutes. The result is excellent – my crown is perfectly fitted and feels completely natural again. I am extremely pleased with both the treatment outcome and the outstanding care I received throughout. I would highly recommend Dr Ferhan Ahmed, Kasia and Edinburgh Dental to anyone requiring implant or surgical dental treatment. A truly first-class service from start to finish.
I needed two teeth extracted and I am a very nervous patient. I phoned the clinic for an appointment, and I spoke with Stacey who was so kind, friendly and calming. My teeth were extracted by Dr Duncan Weir who was so calming, professional and patient. I would highly recommend Edinburgh Dental.
I've had two dental hygienist appointments now and the results are amazing! I had a build up of plaque and the front of my teeth were badly stained - too much tea and coffee! I thought I was going to need tooth whitening, but a visit to the hygienist and they were good as new! They used an EMS machine for the scale and polish, which I guess is why the results are so great. Emma, the hygienist, is lovely and informative, as well as the other staff that work there. I would definitely recommend, and have booked my next appointment for 6 months' time!

I have visited Edinburgh Dental only twice, being a new patient, but, even after speaking with a receptionist at length prior to making my first appointment, I had a good feeling, and was looking forward to returning for assessment. The dentist I have been allocated to was perfect for me, kind, sensitive and helpful giving me two tips while being examined which I had never before known. I left that chair happy and looking forward to my next visit.
I had two wisdom teeth removed today, and Reem Ali and the assistant did a fantastic job. I felt no pain during the extraction, and the surgery was smooth and quick. I was made to feel very at ease throughout the entire procedure and was constantly asked if I was okay. After the procedure, I was given thorough and easy-to-follow instructions on how to do the wisdom teeth aftercare. Overall, I cannot recommend this practice highly enough for its stellar professionalism, efficiency, and patient care.
