I had a tooth extracted with Dr Bethany Heaney today 30/9.She was very professional and throughout the procedure, I didn’t feel any pain. I was so nervous before going as I had a bad experience before . I highly recommend her as she is a very good Dentist, she explained everything and made me feel at ease . Thank you Dr Bethany
Appalling service now they've embraced private, commercial dentistry & kicked all their NHS patients to the curb. Been with this practice for 25 years, and I'm now looking at an 18 month delay for a check up after phoning to reschedule, and I need to pay private prices to see my 'NHS' dentist after losing a filling, because apparently "it's not an emergency"
So disappointing that this dental practice has now gone totally private. Their website declaration (as below ) is so false and untrue. “St John’s Road Dental Clinic has proudly served the Corstorphine community in Edinburgh for more than 40 years. With more than two-thirds of our patients joining us on the recommendation of a friend or relative, we are trusted by our thousands of patients who value the caring service we provide.” No thought or compassion for their regular clients.
I recently completed implant treatment with Dr Henderson. I was highly impressed with the attention to detail and level of care I received. It has been interesting to watch the evolution of the practice from being previously being a run down nhs practice to a high end clinic. I have been advised that the practice is no longer providing NHS services but having received high quality private care and seeing the investment and the direction the practice is going in, I support this decision!
Just received an email informing me that they are no longer treating NHS patients. Either join a dental plan or pay upfront for treatment. Not acceptable and a disgusting way to treat long term patients. I'm now looking for a new dentist who accepts NHS but it's not an easy task.
Excellent service. It was a Friday I had an abcess on my gum. I spoke to Pam the receptionist, she put my mind at rest as she advised an emergency appt. This appt was provided quickly, the young female dentist then helped, gave lots of advice again putting my mind at rest. Problem resolved quickly. Thank you.
Excellent, friendly dental practice. Receptionists are always helpful and welcoming with a pleasant smile and the appointment reminder by telephone is very welcome with our busy lives! The dentists and dental nurses I have met are competent, good communicators and pleasant. I appreciate the endeavour for continuity of care also, with the same dentist, where possible. Thank you.
Have been coming to this dentist for over 25 years and have always had exemplary service. I called this morning (due to pain) - in the middle of a pandemic - and was given an appointment a few hours later and my issue was resolved. St Johns Road Practice has been the positive experience I needed in a dentist. I've had a pretty bad experience in more than one practice in the past but find the whole team here to be professional, welcoming and diligent. I'd also add that they are very child friendly - a big plus for daytime appointments. Thanks to the team.
I've been a patient here for a couple of years now, brilliant when first joined but I feel it's going down hill. Last 2/3 visits I've had different dentists and my last visit a month ago felt totally rushed. Usually at my check up I will get a scale and polish and the dentist will have a decent look at my teeth but I was literally in the chair for 2 minutes and she whisked me out. I knew I needed a scale and polish I should of said something but just felt like she wanted her next patient. Thinking of moving as next time I go it will probably be a another different dentist and I would prefer to have some continuity.
