Been here a few times and usually service is pretty good but on last visit was not so good. Not greeted when we entered and took straight to table by server who had a vape in hand, only one other table being used so was empty. Quick to ask for food orders so wasn’t waiting forever, server just threw the cutlery in middle of the table. Was told I could have a can of juice with my food then was told to get it myself! Food was typical cafe food not amazing but not the worst. Hadn’t even stood away from the table before the server started cleaning it so felt very rushed when leaving, was also sat in a corner table so not very much space to stand up and put coats back on, especially when server is right behind you clearing up. I understand tables have to get cleaned but would appreciate being able to walk away before it gets done.

Got a table and ordered fairly quickly but it took half an hour for our drinks to be brought over, when the waitress did bring them over she said our receipt was lost down the back of the till and apologised. No problem with that as mistakes happen and she was very apologetic and nice. Food came and was nice but we sat with finished plates in front of us for a long time and had wanted to order a couple of cakes. Staff were present but were either cleaning and it came across like they'd rather avoid serving. I decided to go over to the till and ask and the waitress ignored me and walked away, her colleague who was cooking had to call over to ask her to serve us. Her attitude towards us was rude and abrupt and she dumped the plates down infront of us loudly and didnt say a word. We were made to feel like an inconvenience when we had been polite and friendly throughout. Just really disappointing for our first experience here as we always walk by and see it busy so thought it would be very good. I just wanted to take my partner in for some lunch to cheer us up after a long week at work and this was just a really negative experience unfortunately. The only saving grace was the nice woman cooking and taking payments and the young girl who served us initially.

Would not recommend this place, I ordered a steak pie - which is actually a cheap stew and gravy pie, but on their menu it states “steak pie”. Tried to get my knife through the pie and the pie near enough slid off the plate - it was brick solid at the bottom, microwaved for far too long! Complained and made a fresh one. They had the cheek to give me a steak knife to cut through it. There was about 3 bits of stew in the “steak and gravy pie” which prices at nearly £9! They also have “steak pie” under their home made meals on their menu nothing homemade about it. Also ordered a sweet chilli chicken and cheese panini. It comes on a ciabatta bread and not your original panini bread - which resulted in heat not getting through to the middle, as ciabatta bread is a lot thicker than your ordinary panini bread. If that isn’t bad enough. One of the workers with black hair was behind the counter stuffing her face, then she continued to sook 3 of her fingers, didn’t wash her hands and continued to touch customers food. We thought we caught them on a bad day until the table next to us complained. They stated that their fish and chips was disgusting! There was a slight heat within the fish, they also says that this place has went down hill drastically. Customer service is absolutely shocking I think trading standards needs a phone call. Paid £29 for a load of rubbish will never step foot in this place again.

Been here a few times as it has great food that’s very affordable! However, every time I have been, the older waiting staff are very unhelpful and rude to not only myself but other customers. I don’t make reviews often but it completely ruins the atmosphere as it’s a great wee place. Other than that, I highly recommend :)

Wonderful little cafe, busy but the service team was amazing and totally kept on top of orders with the efficiency of a well oiled machine. Food was just superb, highlights were hash browns being crunchy packets of fluffy potato, & the black pudding was top restaurant quality cooked to perfection. Best breakfast I’ve had in a very very long time, and not by a small margin. I’ll definitely be coming back, just to check it’s not a one-off! 11/10 - would recommend

Hadn't been in for year's. Visited today with my parents. The service was top notch. The soup was amazing. Especially the cream of mushroom. Can't believe I've left it so long to go in. Will become a regular place to pop into when I'm in Hamilton.

Such a lovely cafe. The staff are great. They are so friendly and the food is fantastic. As you can see I am slightly addicted to their milkshakes. Xx

Aye it's a good wee cafe for a bite or two. Service is good. We are all Darlings. Honey's and Sweetheart's. Not a dull moment. Food good too. Got the zest coffee inside too. Brilliant so it is.
