“Fabulous location in Blantyre for a delicious meal. We had the full breakfast and the wagu sausages were the best I’ve ever eaten! Every other meal we saw being delivered to tables were mouth watering. The baguettes were huge and the baked potatoes were laden with fillings.The cafe is cosy and welcoming with a friendly atmosphere throughout. Service was quick and accommodating on options. There are good gluten free menu options if you need them and the cafe is wheelchair accessible from the good sized car park. There is additional outdoor seating for the summer and some covered and wind proofed seating with heaters if you would prefer that option to the cosy indoors. The front shop is definitely worth a browse. I bought some delicious caramel apple curd and macaroons. I’ll be going back again very soon as I think this will quickly become my new favourite!”

“Wonderful little cafe, busy but the service team was amazing and totally kept on top of orders with the efficiency of a well oiled machine. Food was just superb, highlights were hash browns being crunchy packets of fluffy potato, & the black pudding was top restaurant quality cooked to perfection. Best breakfast I’ve had in a very very long time, and not by a small margin. I’ll definitely be coming back, just to check it’s not a one-off! 11/10 - would recommend”

“Nomination for Outstanding Service – a special member of staff , MD, ASDA Hamilton I would like to nominate Marry D for exceptional customer service following my visit to ASDA Hamilton on Friday evening, 28th November. During my visit, I had already spoken with a couple of team members and through no fault of their own, I still hadn’t been able to find the specialist products I needed and that i didn't even know that i needed. I was just about ready to leave the store thinking the trip might have been pointless. Then I met Marry. Marry immediately stopped what she was doing and gave me her full, undivided attention. Her excellent product knowledge, understanding of product placement and her natural desire to help customers meant she knew exactly what I was looking for and where to find it. Thanks entirely to her, I left the store with everything I needed, something that simply wouldn’t have happened without her assistance. Marry is a special person and a genuinely valuable member of staff. Her warm, professional manner and dedication turned my whole experience around. I also spoke with Martin, one of the on-duty managers, who was equally fantastic. Martin saw exactly where i was coming from and he had an Immediate appreciation for Mary's customer service contribution. I hope this nomination contributes towards any in-house ASDA recognition or rewards for outstanding service, because Marry absolutely deserves it. “Our go to Chinese restaurant always. Food is amazing especially the chicken satay which is the best. Restaurant was extremely busy on Saturday late afternoon being a couple of weeks before Xmas the staff are impeccable at their jobs were totally under pressure and handled the situation with ease food and service was excellent thank you and look forward to our visit next time.”

“Visited for the first time today, I didn't realise the closing time was soon but the lady with lovely glasses at the counter insisted I sit in after I offered to takeaway instead. My food was beautiful and I was reminded by her to take my time and not to worry, it was honestly the best mushroom soup I've ever had. The cappuccino was nice and well presented, the cake tasty and the person who served us was smiling and polite: a good experience! I don’t know exactly how it works (It’s my first time with Costa), but for people who go frequently there should be a red card (I see two people using the Costa Card at the cash).”

“I'm a lifelong lover of little cafes such as Elles Kitchen. I spent a couple of weeks in the area last year - coming from Dublin for a couple of weeks on business. Elle herself was an authentic Scottish lady; during my regular visits, she always remembered my name and seemed genuinely interested in my reason for visiting Glasgow. Her fried food was of a very high traditional standard and was served very quickly but not at the expense of quality. I recommend Elles Kitchen to local and tourist alike. Liam”

I had the beef burger with haggis and my husband and friend had the chicken burger and the chicken fajitas, all very tasty and fresh. £6 for a strawberry daiquiri is roughly the same as Glasgow prices but they were delicious. Will definitely need to go back and fully recommend.”
