Really friendly coffee shop. Service a bit slow but the food is good and worth a short wait.

I love visiting this little cafe. Food is amazing and staff so friendly and helpful. But I'm afraid to see having no heating in the place is a big let down. Everyone was sitting with their jackets on. So, sadly won't return till weather is a bit better

We WERE regulars and took our 4 year old granddaughter every week for cake and coffee. Last week, it was busier than usual as the schools were off. As the service is slow at the best of times, we knew there would be a wait and so waited patiently to be served. Two tables with 3 and 4 people respectively, who came in after us had their food and coffees and we still had not been given our cakes and drinks. Our table had also not been cleaned so I took it upon myself to clean it. When my husband went to ask why we were still not served 40 mins later, he was told very abruptly "I only makes the drinks as the orders are given to me". When the drinks did arrive, they were put down quite forcefully and it was clear the lady was not happy. An apology and a smile would have gone a long way. After this experience we will not be back, no matter how good the empire biscuits are!

We visited today for the first time, the cafe was busy and we were told that there may be a wait for our food. This was not to be, the staff patiently took our order, and the food arrived without delay. This place does not do stress, they do smiles. Thank you for looking after us, we will be back.

Recently went to this cafe and was very unimpressed there was nothing in the menu and three things we ordered they didn't have in which I was very shocked as it was mid afternoon the price was also very pricey considering what we had got. Sad to say I will not be returning to do not recommend

fantastic food but a bit pricey. can get busy especially around lunch time. easy parking and an art gallery and a few other shops nearby. Used to be our favourite place for lunch but in the past year service has been really slow so give yourself plenty of time. Great cakes to take away
