Perfect incredible wonderful place for quite cheap!!! I got the soup and two breads and a latte and it all came out to £5. The ambiance is lovely and it wasn’t crowded at all when I went at 2pm.
Looked this place up online as we were in the vicinity and boy are we glad that we did. Given the warmest of welcomes and asked if we would mind sharing a seat which was no problems. Service warm personal friendly and genuine. Love the authentic cafe and we ordered macaroni cheese and chips plus a cappuccino for my beloved. I ordered the small breakfast but the amazing waitress suggested that for an extra pound I got a better deal and glad I listened. Food cooked there and then and everything was perfect. Richard was heaping praise on the macaroni. I had a forkful of his and can confirm it was gorgeous. I had two thick slices of buttered toast two rashers of bacon black pudding which was delicious slice of tomato two tattie scones beans fried egg and the best square sausage out. Decided to have an ice cream and Richard had a knickerbocker glory which was extremely good and very generous portion wise. I had a tunnocks snowball with ice cream and it was to die for. The staff were very attentive warm and friendly. We spoke to a few of the regulars who praised the cafe to the highest. Portions were generous and great value for money but leave room for the gorgeous ice cream! We cannot wait to return. Not sure if its the owner who cooks the food but we left 100000% full satisfied and have no hesitation in recommending this amazing little gem of a business to anyone. Every single member of staff were bright cheerful engaging and were genuinely helpful. Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this wee gem to anybody xxxx
After years of hearing about the wonders of D’Jaconelli I was finally able to experience it! What a lovely suprise it was too, staff super friendly and on top of all the order for the hungry customers. Served promptly both with a smile and a wonderful Glaswegian accent. Welcome to locals and tourists from afar! I went for the Mac and Cheese with chips and also ordered the well-renowned Oreo milkshake. I was Not dissapointed. Overall would rate this 10/10 and can’t wait to come back again soon. It was quite busy, but as the orders were flying in, tables free up fairly quickly. Both eat in and take away options available. Just visit if in Glasgow!
While travelling I sat in the front window journalling with my Americano. Ended up sharing the booth with a family of locals and having a wonderful exchange. The atmosphere and decor is perfect, ambient lit, retro furnishings, lovely waitress. Seem to have a dedicated customer base. Magic.
Like a Time Machine I’m back in my youth, but with my own kids. Staff are lovely, food is outstanding. Best of all are the ££, impossibly cheap, like they’re 30 years behind what everyone else would charge. Worth the wait for a seat to soak up the nostalgia.
You would be wrong to go to a place like Jaconelli's expecting top quality food, but you would be right if you went expecting good value for money and a trip back in time for a glimpse of the Glasgow of old. The chips are of the old-fashioned but tasty 'as granny used to make' variety, if you can get over them being cooked in a fryer with chicken burgers. The macaroni cheese is also very tasty, and I hear they also do a mean breakfast. The staff are down to earth and great with customers. The ice cream, however, is the clear star of the show in my humble opinion. If you don't like sharing a table with another group, then this is probably not the place for you – but if you want authenticity and a trip down memory lane, this is the place to go.

Had the best big breakfast ever, went down a treat. Great atmosphere and the customer service was second to none. Very reasonably priced too. I didn't have any room to fit in a knickerbocker glory but I will do next time. If you've never been, you gotta try this wee gem of a place
