Gentleman in the ponytail does not look happy to be there... "only what's in the menu!" which is hidden by the big poster on the window (???) Reasonable food as usual; unusuallly blunt and unfriendly service toward a regular customer.

A lovely place on a wet and dull day - can imagine how it would be on a lovely summer day with the pond. Food and service was great. Nice and clean venue well laid out and not cramped. Also noted as extremely dog friendly. When I pulled into the parking on the main road I didn't see a sign for the Boathouse but assumed it was that building (which it was!)

Lovely location with very pleasant staff. Wide variety of options on the menu. Meal was not hurried so there was plenty of time to visit without feeling rushed.

Lovely brunch for 3 adults and a dog. Food was delicious and staff friendly and accommodating. Great wee setting by the lake and good access to the park.

Iv been to the Boathouse several times and loved it but I had to review it this time, I work near by so it is convenient to pop in for lunch. I ordered from the window to which a lovely young girl with good manners and a kind attitude served me and answered a couple of questions, she took my order of Korean chicken and rice with a can of Irn Bru for an easy transaction. I waited roughly 15 minutes for my food which is fairly quick considering they are running the restaurant at the same time. It came to Β£10.50 and for the portion and taste itβs perfectly priced. Chicken was crispy yet juicy, the sauce was sweet and spicy, the rice was fluffy and the presentation was on point as seen below. Canβt recommend eating here enough, hope youβre all well guys. Shaun

Brilliant little cafe in a scenic wee location. The food was served quickly and to a high standard. The toasties, breakfast, kids breakfast and Mac and Cheese were all delicious. Proper home cooked food and very fresh with lovely staff. Excellent coffee too.

Really nice quiet relaxing atmosphere, we had a lovely view of the swans and park. Ordered a couple of toasties, nothing to heavy as we wanted to walk round the entire park. Food was spot on and the service was delightful. Only thing is that I didnβt really like the type of coffee that was used, although its probably me being fussy.

I arrived on a sunny Saturday late afternoon with three ravenous boys and the team were able to quickly find us a table outside and whip up a delicious lunch for my kids and for me. Really attentive and friendly team with delicious food and ice creams for dessert.

Excellent service from friendly and efficient staff. Cappuccino was excellent and scone with jam and clotted cream was very nice. Soup was delicious; however, the bread roll would have been nicer if it had been warmed before serving. Will definitely return but will ask for roll and scone to be warmed next time.
