The Red Deer is a lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was quaint. The service was kind and friendly. This would be a great place for family or friends to gather for lunch, dinner or drinks.

Food was absolutely lovely, my partner had the best burger he's ever had and I had the calamari and baked scallops off the starter menu. The calamari was a little chewy and cold but still nice, the scallops were gorgeous. Service was great, there was a large table in at the same time and naimh was very apologetic about the wait despite us not booking. The pub also stock non alcoholic options that aren't on the menu, I wish I'd known when I came in but got a Gordon's 0 on the second order. Overall a lovely wee pub, the fires a welcome addition after a long cold walk!

The Red Deer is a Hotel/Restaurant/Pub well worth a visit. The atmosphere is that of a country pub, carpet and parquet flooing, cosy, with a roaring open hearth fire (only during the winter). The food was very good with a varied selection of meals. For starters we tried, Salt and Pepper Calamari, Deep Fried Breaded Brie, Soup of the day. For mains we tried, Hunters Chicken with chips, Macaroni, Aubergine with salad, Meat Pie with a red wine sauce and seared vegetables. Overall a bit pricey but dogs are allowed inside, so that's great. The staff were very helpful and professional. We hope to return in the future.

Great food including vegan options, generous portion sizes, good range of drinks, friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. I love the country pub feel with open fire, which is lit on cold days. Also dog friendly.

Your Pub is very inviting, clean and cosy. Food was delicious and our waitress could not have been more friendlier or helpful. love that dogs are allowed so next time I will bring them. Good halfway point for meeting my friend from Glasgow. My 2nd visit to your pub and it will not be the last.

Not our first time and the food is always delicious. We had the seabass and the chicken pie both with spring onion mash which is amazingly tasty. Our dog had treats and fresh water from the station and it is a very relaxing stop for all of us. The staff were very friendly and it was very easy to book online.

Wow, what a restaurant by far my firm favourite now. Great staff who cannot do enough for you. A great easy to choose menu….. I went with the Salt An Pepper Calamari for Starters and for my Main the Duo of Lamb. My son had Pizza and chips and may I add was absolutely lovely. My other half had the Sirloin Steak which was melt in the mouth good. Both were absolutely fantastic. Great place I will be back.
