Great vibe here, and clearly popular. Our breakfasts were excellent, no notes. Only slight downside was the wait after ordering, but I'd argue it was worth it.

We love to visit the Bristolian when in Bristol. We ordered the veggie and vegan breakfasts, both of which are such generous portions we couldnβt finish it! It is always quite busy so be prepared to queue for a little bit, definitely worth it for the good atmosphere and yummy food and drinks.

We had an overall okay time at The Bristolian but there is definitely room for improvement. We visited with a group of 4 people and even at around 14:00 it was quite busy (it was a Saturday). We were lucky to find a table but that came at a cost. My friendβs pancakes had arrived aprox 30mins post ordering, the rest of us had our food arrive 45mins after ordering. Have in mind 2 out of 4 both had pancakes but somehow the first plate arrived alone and the rest 15-20mins later. Now, about the food! The pancakes were nice, nothing wrong with them. My quesadillas dish was a 10 out of 10, I was extremely happy with them. Sadly the poached eggs on toast were hard boiled (over cooked) which we never had experienced before (especially after waiting 45mins for them! Sadly no staff member ever asked us how our food was, if they did, we would definitely mention to them about the eggs. Overall, the waiting time of our foods, the foods arriving at different times and the eggs being overcooked leaves us no reason to be visiting again.

We had a delectable full English breakfast with one extra portion of hash browns so that we could have one each. The bacon was so flavourful in addition to the sun blushed tomatoes and spinach which were a great extra touch. The assam breakfast tea and black coffee were delicious also. The outdoor seating is very pleasant and the indoor decor is lovely. Plenty of pretty ceramic tiles. The bathroom sink is fun! One peculiarity, to save time as it is a very popular venue, you are charged immediately after making your order to which service charges are automatically added. We noticed this on the receipt provided by the staff after payment. The lack of transparency about this was annoying to me as I had not yet received any services from staff. Perhaps I didnβt notice it on the menu but it would have been appreciated to be informed first, or at least be provided a receipt before paying.

Came here for breakfast but the whole menu is available all day! Delicious food, fresh and good portions. The flavours were very well balanced and interesting. Lovely staff. There is an indoor area and also a covered outdoor area. Would definitely recommend. We came on a Sunday around 10am and it was moderately busy so we we were seated straight away but within 20 minutes the pace picked up a lot and there was a queue outside so definitely a popular place for breakfast/brunch!

Good food and amazing coffee but get there early on the weekends to get a seat! Wasnβt the biggest fan of their vegan sausages as they basically tasted like mashed potatoβ¦ but the fusion breakfast is outstanding. Itβs a shame they have Heinz and HP sauce plastic bottles on the table as I think some homemade sauces or higher quality would be great for the price youβre paying there.

Fantastic food and drink in a relaxed setting with friendly staff. The cafe is lovely inside - quite small and with an intimate feeling. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is superb. Really great flavours and a big portion. Coffee is equally as good. Rather on the expensive side but worth it if you have the money! Would recommend

Famous Bristol Cafe on a quiet side street, in lovely Montpelier. Tables outside for alfresco fans, some under cover for rainy days. The food here is of high quality ingredients and worth going for alone. Prices are Bristol standard. Great coffee and loose leaf Tea. Lovely atmosphere inside. The service here is Russian Roulette though, itβs either great or laughably bad! Wondering what youβll get is almost part of the charm for me! Recommended.

One of the best vegan breakfasts in Bristol! Huge portions, lovely bread, sustainable produce, just absolutely lovely. Also always greeted with a smile and excellent service. They do sit-in and takeaway and they are one of the few places to take covid seriously still. So I really like the place, though if youβre concerned there is no space for social distancing indoors. They do have outdoor seating. Iβd give 5 stars but they used to have lovely home made beans with the breakfast which have been replaced with standard beans which I hate. Was looking forward to their nice beans. Shame that the quality has gone down while price has gone up. Whilst very expensive, itβs still one of the best vegan breakfasts in Bristol.
